I guess you can say that I am starting out. I'm going to be testing in November and more than likely January as well. I decided that September was unrealistic. We can get a small group going where we can all work on problems together and help each other get through this madness. I feel really optimistic about this exam and believe we can do well. Feel free to contact me here or look me up on Instagram. My name is LawSkewlProbs on IG. Hope to hear from some of your soon.

The negative comments I get from people are- what about your boys? Won't they need their mom? Where will you find the time? What about working and paying the bills? I will be honest, the slew of negativity is overwhelming at times, especially when I (we) already know we are facing an uphill battle.
If I had $5 from every time someone asked those questions, tilted their head and asked "Really?", or said something like "Oh wow. You are SO brave to do that. I could never do that/ leave my kids/ etc", law school would probably be paid for by now.
I can only think that if it were my husband doing this, no one would bat an eye about it. But a middle aged mom? Stop the presses. No offense to any of the dads out there, as it's the same issues we all have (leaving kids, jobs, home, etc). Have any of you men gotten this treatment? I'm really curious to know.
The boys will be proud that their mom is going after her goals and dreams. You'll be leading by example. You will create more opportunities for yourself and your family. Why can't people see that? You'll be in a better position going to law school than not going. You got this!!! I haven't been telling many people about my plans. Keep it to yourselves. They'll find out when you graduate. LOL
Are you all having professors submit via the Credential Assembly Service? Are you reading them or having them sent in without your review?
Just checking in. Who is still studying? Who is still looking to learn together?
Should I start off by completing all logic games from PT 1-35 in order? Or should I start by going through all sequencing games with the goal of seeking mastery before moving on to grouping or advanced linear? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Are you doing bad timed or untimed? I suggest you take your time untimed after doing it timed. Try to gain understanding or pull in a study buddy to help you out.
I love when people say that the LSAT doesn’t have anything to do with law school.
The LSAT shall liveth in all of us!!! Forever!!!
Some schools are still taking applications until July 15 for admission this fall. You'll have time to retake the exam if you wanted to as well.
36 year old dad here, married, with kids in 3rd, 7th, and 10th grade. Wife is pursuing her Master's this Fall and I'm prepping for the LSAT this year. I've come full circle and I found myself unhappy with my career options. I don't want to go through life wondering what I could've accomplished if I pursued what I really loved. I'm also hoping to get my score into a range where I can get scholarship money. It's going to be full of challenges juggling family life and the responsibilities of law school. It's got to get done though. I wish you luck!!!
Just tell people you are holding off to get your LSAT score up so that you can get more scholarship money. A 10 more points can mean thousands more in free money. "I want to go to school at a good cost, not at any cost." Taking a year off never killed anyone. Some who are going this year could stand to gain if they worked at bringing their scores up some more. Good luck mu dude!
I'm open to whatever works for the study partners.
We can take PT's and then get together to blind review together. Let's get something going.
How close are you toward mastery? That would determine whether it's likely or not.
Chase the dream. Test again. You won't regret it. You got this!!!
Your one year job experience isn't going to be the deciding factor of whether you get into the law school of your choice or not. I think you could work at Dollar Tree and get into a T14 if your LSAT/GPA warrants. What is your degree in? Do you think you'll land a job as a paralegal?
You have proven that you can do better. No one knows why these types of outcomes occur. I say you get back to studying. You can do this. Don't settle. Who wants a lawyer who is willing to fold easily when things are looking unfavorable. I want to read how you kicked the LSAT in the metaphorical "whatever". Let's do this. I, too, tested below what I have been scoring on PT's. I'm just getting back in the lab and ready to rumble with this thing.
Congratulations on your success. The road from 141 to 162 must feel great after traveling it. You're inspiration to a struggling beginner. Thanks and good luck in law school!
You can set your account so that people can't see who your friends are.
You should go into the exam feeling very confident, and rightfully so. Mindset is huge. On and upwards, my friend! Congratulations and keep pushing!!!
Please add me. It will be greatly appreciated.
I would say to to get the Logic Games Bible and start working through the book. There are simple things you need to learn which will enable you to build upon. Jumping right into games and not knowing how to diagram is silly. You should also learn how to make inferences. For example if A must come before B...then B can never be first and A can never be last. I'm not an expert by any means, but I have accepted that in order to succeed I must learn the test. There's no short cut. There's not a timetable that I am on. I learn at my own pace. Don't look at what others are doing. You can do this. If mankind can figure out how to put together a bunch of metal and aluminum and get it to soar through the air, you can learn this test. Are you willing to learn the basics, and put the time in to learn this test?
Why is it now or never? Is it due to your age? How old are you? Is one more year really going to hurt? You just started prepping?
Legal documents are available in paper form and in digital documents. I would say it is unfair to administer these in only digital form. Why not provide an option, if anything. I think scores will take a dive. I like being able to write on the paper when doing RC. I am not a fan of highlighting a computer screen. They should allow more time for the test in this format as it will take more time to shuffle your eyes to your scrap paper and back and forth.
You'll definitely break 170 if you keep on pushing forward. You got this.
Just tell them "Trust me, trust me, trust me..." and walk away. Tell them "I am not settling for this score. I can do so much better. Since when is it good to settle?" Good luck!
Relax a little. You have plenty of time to get that 155. Don't throw away your dream just yet. I was toying with the idea of getting my Master's in teaching as well. My wife just graduated and has a job lined up through Teach for America. I could be teaching Fall of 2019, making $45K. But then I think of being in law school going after what I truly want to do. The income possibilities are greater, but not guaranteed in the legal field. I, too, would be straight with a 155. Keep the dream alive man. Do not give up. There really isn't a rush to get into law school for a certain semester or year. We've got a lot of time on our sides this upcoming year. Let's crush it!!!
