PT20.S1.Q04 - an ingredient in marijuana

http://classic.7sage.com/lsat_explanations/lsat-20-section-1-question-04/

I got this one wrong... even after blind review -___- but now I think I know why it's actually B and not C

The explanation I'm giving myself is that the experiments performed take THC on its own and not Marijuana as a whole? Then the conclusion states that all of Marijuana contains THC, thus Marijuana causes cancer. While completely disregarding any other properties Marijuana may have?

Can this be considered a "some" statement? (Some of marijuana --> then cancer)

I hope I'm making sense.

Why do exercise during break? Is that supposed to help with keeping you awake or something?

Hi 7sagers!

I've been working on keeping track of the amount of question types I keep getting incorrect. What I'm currently doing is writing everything out by hand with every test by creating a table. In this table I have 4 columns. The first column includes question types(each question type = one row) and the other 3 include tests (one test per column) I then go down each row and tally the amount of questions per question type I get wrong. After three tests I count how many MBT question types I got wrong, or how many Strengthen questions I got wrong. By visually seeing the last 3 tests tests and amount of incorrect question types, it gives me a better visualization on what I have to work on.

A major perk I learned for doing this is:

- it forces me to label all question stems during blind review (I double check them through 7sage grader if I'm having trouble)

I'm not scoring that high yet, and I can imagine this not really working on the high scorers (since you're probably only missing like 2 questions per section anyway). But for the newbies, like myself :) I've found it to be helpful and just wanted to share :)

If anybody has any recommendations or ideas let me know! I can always use some guidance.

@ Powerscore did not include "the only" on their list of sufficient condition indicators. But they did include "only" and "only if" as necessary condition indicators.

@,

I didn't notice Powerscore failed to distinguish the difference between the various "only's"!

I appreciate you pointing that out :)

I literally spent like 20 min on this during blind review. I was stuck between A and E. I ended up going with E only because of the words "focuses less" in A. I figured, maybe they focused less but still showed lack of focus? lol The author never actually stated that literature today actually focuses less rather than actually showing the less focus.

That was my take on it. It made more sense after I watched the video to see how much was wrong with A.

Trouble Finding Tests?

Greetings all,

Where do you all purchase your PT's? I'm having trouble finding new versions of PT's 41, 42 and 43 at a reasonable price (found each for like $30 on places like eBay and Amazon!!) I would also prefer them to be new, found a couple used copies... used makes me nervous.

Good luck to all the Oct 2015 test takers!!! :)
