Did anyone here take the test in Asia (who only had two LRs) remember the question about paleontologists using dinosaur bones to piece together a fossil? Trying really hard to figure out which section was experimental. I might cancel my scores if my first LR section was real, but I can't figure out.

@ thanks! feel like I'll just have to wait and see until I get my scores... I thought the first LR section was really hard but apparently others thought differently

Hello! Just took the LSAT in Asia in and I had LR-LG-LR-RC-LR! The only questions I can remember clearly are about digital/paper mail, ancient masks made in Mexico, and detectives piecing together clues like crossword puzzles. I'm trying to figure out which questions came from which section! If you remember any others/what section they're from that would be super helpful!

On another note, my games section had a round table, and something about supervising art installations. My RC was women's rights, common law, chaos theory and athletics as art. THANKS!

Can anyone confirm that Asia test takers get the same experimental sections? I had 3LR in Asia, and thought that one was much harder than the others, but I don't recognize any of the questions that you're posting from the sections.

I took the December LSAT and am waiting for my scores but I'm worried I didn't do quite as well as I hoped. Is there any precedent for applying with the December scores but taking the February test and sending updated scores? A lot of schools won't have made final decisions by the time those scores come out in late February.

Thanks!

Summer Language Program Transcript

So I took a summer language program, and then two more language programs from Chinese Universities after graduation. In short, these transcripts are super complicated to get and I didn't take any of the classes for credit or towards degree granting program. They were really only for my own language advancement. Do you think I need to get the transcripts for these? The requirements are sort of unclear and I know they won't impact my GPA so it seems like a waste of time. (Two of them will also be in Chinese)

@ I honestly thought I really messed up the test based on what other people have been saying about the 26 question section being fake. I had 3 LRS and I'm 90% sure they had 25 questions each. Some other people have talked about a penguin question that I don't remember, but I think there was a section with a question about halverson disease towards the end and that was fake. Maybe there were two experimental LRS this time or we just really messed up.

even with all of the LR info I'm still confused haha. I had three sections and I cant quite remember what was in each one, but I think the experimental had a questions about people with Halverson (SP?) disease and a certain gene (maybe TP2?) - question was sort of towards the end. Does anyone who had 2 LR sections remember this one?

Thanks!

I took the LSAT six times... Getting bad scores is brutal but eventually you'll make it! Don't give up! What I found to be the most helpful was to stop taking PTs and focus on the 7sage course material. Watch the Lawgic coursework so many times that you hear JY in your dreams. I think I made the mistake of rushing through some of it but if you can't get every single question right on all of the quizzes you shouldn't move on to PTs.

Just finished the test. Had one reading comp section and I remember two passages: jazz, judges/evidence. Had two logic games sections. One section had a circle game that was tricky, and I think a puppy/kitten question (based on convos after test pretty sure this section was experimental). Other logic game section had a question about trips to Manila, Tokyo, Sydney (pretty sure this section was real). I had two logic games sections one with 25 questions and the other with 26 so the 26 question one is definitely real.

So I got my scores from the November LSAT and have now decided to cancel the January LSAT that I preemptively registered for. I had no idea this would be so complicated and I just sent in the refund request form, but LSAC replied that the process will take three weeks. In the meantime, I've realized my applications are now on hold until those scores theoretically come in or LSAC cancels my registration.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Is there a faster way to get them to cancel the the registration or do I just have to email every single school and explain the situation?

Thank you!

Do new LSAT scores automatically send?

This might be an incredibly dumb question, but does LSAC automatically send new scores to schools you've already applied to? Specifically - I just got my November scores, but have already applied to a bunch of schools. I want to send my new scores, and was under the impression that they get sent automatically, but now I'm irrationally worried that I missed a step... Can someone confirm that they'll be sent automatically - or I guess let me know what steps I need to take?

***Update sorry! Figured out that it is automatic but now I can't delete this post!

UCI Personal Statement

Hey Guys! I just went to upload my personal statement for the UCI (University of California Irvine) application and realized they have a 500 word limit. I'm currently at two pages double spaced but closer to 800 words and I really don't see how I can get to 500 without re-writing it. I'm at medians for the school, but wonder if people think its a huge mistake not to trim it?

Thanks!

It was like six types of cars - the section also had a game about paintings shown / north and south halls

Yeah same, it was annoying that it didn't even have a first easy question but i agree that RC wasn't bad

I think it is. Everyone at my test center in Hong kong seemed to get two LG. Mine were section 2 and 4 so its really hard to tell which one was fake. But someone I talked to got the section with cars as their fifth which means that one was probably real and the musicians was probably experimental. On that note, did you think the cars question was really hard? I only had time for like the first two questions....

Confirm action

Are you sure?
