Anybody have a list of the hardest logic games in history of the LSAT? Preferably from PTs 52 and on.

Ok because I was really confused as to why this wouldnt have been the answer: If Maria trained hard, she would win the sailboat race. Can you explain that real quick?
@ So in these sort of arguments/statements, can you always just put the conclusion as the necessary?
@ could you help with this post question as well? Thank you for all of your help!!
@ How would you diagram an except statement?
An argument states that: Maria won this year's sailboat race by beating Sue, who has in each of the four last years. We can conclude from this that Maria trained hard.
Premise: Maria won this year by beating Sue who won the last 4 years
Conclusion: Maria trained hard.
I was between these two answers and chose the first one incorrectly:
1. If Maria trained hard, she would win the sailboat race
2. Maria could beat a four time winner only if she trained hard
The explanation says that the first one (the one I picked) is a mistaken reversal, but how am I supposed to know how to conditionally diagram this??
Why couldn't it be diagrammed as if maria trained hard she won, instead of if maria won she trained hard?
Can anyone explain how to do the virus game? Was it sequencing? I set it up like this (i am using different letters except for y since that was the weird one that was connected to r. M L H R &Y__
I basically set it up as sequencing because I had no idea how else to set it up. Anybody else do the same?
So I just took the September LSAT and have no idea how I did. But I'm sure I didn't get my target score (169) so do I wait for scores and then start studying again for December or continue studying now? Something just won't click with LR and I've heard of people taking breaks and coming back and it clicks so just wondering what to do here.
Can somebody explain how to use the calculator for LSDAS GPA? I went to one school my freshmen year that did plus/minus system and received 2 B's 2 B+'s and 6 A's. Then my next school does not do plus/minus but counts A's as 4 points. Does that mean I enter these in as A's or A+'s? What does 3 passing and 4 passing mean? And also do I put the total number of points I received (at the first school my A's were 3 points and at my final school the A's are 4 points) in the section that says five point? I am really confused.
When should I make my Credential Assembly Service account? I am taking the September LSAT but may retake in December if I don't get a good LSAT.
I have never worn a watch or checked on my time when taking a PT. I always thought it would throw me off my game and distract me to check on the time. Now I am taking the LSAT tomorrow and seeing everyone say they're going to wear a watch. Need advice on whether I should go out and buy one or not. Also I feel like my test center may have a clock on the wall. During the LSAT do the proctors write on the board what time we start and stop a section at?
@ I am not big on eating early in the morning and am trying to figure out what to eat/drink tomorrow morning before the test to wake me up. I don't function well on PTs when I am tired which is usually in the morning.
@ What is matcha powder? Everyone keeps telling me to use it to enhance my memory, focus, and energy but does it actually work?
I live in Charlotte and my LSAT is this Saturday in uptown Charlotte. There have been violent protests, people have been shot, and protestors are all concentrated uptown. Our governor declared a state of emergency as well and businesses uptown have been looted and vandalized, people were throwing chairs and bricks through windows and doors last night. With everything going on, would the LSAC cancel the LSAT in Charlotte? This is of course if things don't get better I mean.
You absolutely can get to a 157 by December. The easiest improvements to make are the ones from the low 140s to the high 150s, after you hit 160, thats when theres this weird plateau, at least in my experience. I underperformed significantly on test day and am retaking in December because I know what to expect now and so do you. I think a lot of people underperform their first time, its just test day jitters. Also you said logic games is where you did okay, which is by far the most learnable part of the test. Just make sure your doing at least 8 logic games a day, I started doing that and saw improvement super quickly (just for info, logic games was my worst i was missing half on each section I did and after this tactic, I now consistently miss 0-2 at max). You can do this with the right amount of perseverance and confidence. You want to get to where you are missing 0-2 on logic games and that will give you a good buffer to miss questions on reading comp, which is the most difficult to improve on. I personally suck at reading comp thats my worst but what I personally am doing (feel free to try this I have heard it works) is focus on LR and logic games while doing at least one reading section each day as practice. Apparently it helps. Good luck, don't give up, I know its easy to feel down about this believe me I did too but to be a lawyer you have to have thick skin and get back up after defeat and YOU CAN DO THAT. Get past this stupid test and move on to better things.
So I am retaking my LSAT in December and I just need to improve my LR. I am going through powerscore books and re-learning each question type because I didn't really study LR by question type last time. So I am reading the chapter for example right now on Must be True/Most Strongly Supported which I think some people call inference questions, and then practicing a ton of questions in that category, then once I am answering with good accuracy I will move on to next question type. Then I plan to take a practice test. My worst section is technically reading comp so I every day I will do one practice passage to try and improve that and mix in logic games here and there but thats my best section. Does this sound like a solid plan/does anyone have further advice for improving LR? Bear in mind that I can't afford any more books or programs, I wish I could because I would def do 7sage but that retake cost killed me.
I got a 160 and was shooting for a 167+. I want to apply this cycle and am registered for December but will I even be able to increase my score by then? I was PT averaging about 165
For LR questions asking you to express the main point or the conclusion, how do you know when the answer is going to state the exact conclusion sentence in the stimulus or if the question wants you the conclusion that comes from combining the premises and expressing what the argument is saying overall? I can elaborate if this makes no sense but I feel like with some conclusion questions the answer is basically a restatement of the particular conclusion sentence in the argument but for other questions it's looking for me to combine the premises and overall conclude what the argument is getting at.
@ What should I do if I go ahead and apply to some schools with my September LSAT and want them to go ahead and review my application despite the fact that I am taking again in December? Will they do this or put it on hold regardless until my December score gets back?
I just called LSAC and they said the reps know nothing about whether it will come out today or tomorrow so could be today.
@ so if I am registered to take the December LSAT no school will review my app until I get the December score back by default? Or I need to indicate that to them? Some schools my September LSAT score may be good enough for, just don't think I'll get good enough for HYS.
I received a free Princeton Review textbook that had a practice test in the back. It is not an actual LSAT that has been administered it was made by the princeton review people. I scored so so low compared to other tests and I am wondering if this means I am doing worse or if it's the fact that it wasn't a real lsat. The questions were completely different from what I have seen (in my opinion) and the logic games far more confusing and complex then anything I have seen and I have taken over 16 PT's. Someone help.
I took the September LSAT and will be getting my score back hopefully today or tomorrow. I don't think I got what I wanted though so I am signed up for the December test. How do I go about applying? I don't want to apply and then get rejected for my September LSAT before they see my December one. Should I apply and contact them to put my application on hold until my December LSAT comes back?
My last PTs are confusing me. They have been 167, 156, 161, 164, 165. I'm shooting for 168 or 169. So the 156 was due to me rushing through the exam, I've been trying to figure out how to pace myself and finally got it with this last PT 167. When I take the appropriate time on each question and read well on reading comp I do better. I employed this strategy and got the 167 on PT 74. All of these recent PTs have been in the 70s. I'm just nervous if that 167 was luck... It didn't feel like it because I really focusing and taking the time to catch small details but with my variation in scores I'm nervous coming up on the September test.
Please someone explain to me why B is incorrect and A is correct. I don't understand in the slightest bit and I have read so many explanations but still don't get it. B seems to match the reasoning in the original statement.

For my diversity statement I am thinking of writing about going through a both physically and emotionally abusive relationship for 4 and a half years. I ended things about 3 weeks and its by far one of the most impactful things that has happened in my life. I initially was going to write about how my father left my mother and I when I was in high school and I could also tie the two together but do you think the abusive relationship story is going to be too much? I don't want the readers to think its a sob story and I certainly will frame it in the way that it made me infinitely stronger (and it did) but I just don't know how tense/serious the topics can be for diversity statements.
Usually when I am taking a PT I use a scan tron to make it like real test conditions but I don't bubble the questions on the scantron well I just quickly mark it and move on and then at the end make sure they are all bubbled well. Will I be able to do this for the real thing? Will there be any time after each section or after the entire thing to make sure your answers are bubbled fully?

Can someone please explain this question to me? It's the principle question and mentions distant periods etc. The correct answer choice is A and I literally have no idea how it is correct. Help
@ Any idea why D is correct? You have always been helpful for explanations.
@.rahman111 see thats the explanation I found on both Manhattan Prep and LSAT Hacks and it still doesn't make sense. Why would the fact that a plan is already in motion to make the hall into an auditorium and develop a new hall elsewhere, make people not want to tear down the hall?
Can anyone explain to me why D is correct? This question is about the concert hall.

@ so for the statements that don't have anything prior to unless like: unless it rains, I will wear flip flops, you still use the "it rains" as the necessary because it is being modified by the unless right? What about that the stuff where people say you have to negate something when putting unless statements in if then form?
I cannot seem to understand this for the various ways unless can appear in a sentence. I have been told to replace the unless with if not but also that the statement thats connected to the unless is the necessary condition. How can it be made an if not (making it sufficient) and also be necessary? Here are a couple of various ways I have seen unless in sentences: Unless I get a good grade, I will not go out; No student can go out unless they get a 4.0. To my understanding, you diagram these as follows:
If go out>>> got good grade
If student got 4.0, then they can go out
I gather these from sort of thinking about the relationship but I want a simple short cut to use. Any ideas?
So sorry! @ should I make a new post for this??
Does taking the December 4th LSAT lower your chances of getting accepted to a law school? I want to go to HLS and I was told if you don't apply before thanksgiving it is then extremely difficult to get accepted because so many people have already applied.

All of the statements follow logically EXCEPT:
A. Some influential art involves original ideas
B. Some 20th century art involves original ideas
C. Only art that involves original ideas is influential (CORRECT ANSWER)
D. Only art that is influential and involves original ideas is great art
E. Some 20th century art is influential and involves original ideas
Can someone explain why C is correct?
I went through and did my conditional diagramming:
Some 20h century art>> great art
Great art>>>original ideas ...... contrapositive: not original ideas>>> not great art
not influential>>> not great art ..... contrapositive: great art>> influential
So i can understand how great art is influential and involves original ideas but I am still unsure of why C is right. Is it because involving original ideas does not necessarily mean its influential?
Also I am BR-ing in the high 170's.
I am determined to get a 169+ on the LSAT and I am consistently scoring around 164-165. My very first score without studying was 147 so I have come a long way in the last 4 months (hardcore been studying for past 2). My last score was 165 but due to running out of time on one section, otherwise I would've pulled out a 169 or more. I am taking the September 24th LSAT and don't tell em to postpone because A. I can't anymore, B. I am going for this test. I need advice on how to break through this plateau and improve. Logic games I usually miss anywhere from 0-3 at the very most. Logical reasoning can be anywhere from 0-7 most of the time I miss like 2 in an early LR section and the later section I miss more. And then reading comp varies since if I understand a passage I can pull out missing zero but if its a hard passage I can miss in total anywhere from 2-8. I need a 169 or above and I want to hear from people who increased their score within 3 weeks. I am studying every single day for several hours a day. Any tips would be nice.
This is a most strongly supported question from PT 38.
Mystery stories often feature a brilliant detective and the detective’s dull companion. Clues are presented in the story and the companion wrongly infers an inaccurate solution to the mystery using same clues that detective uses to deduce correct solution. Thus the author’s strategy of including dull companion gives readers a chance to solve the mystery while also diverting them from the correct solution.
Which one of the following is most strongly supported by the information above?
I chose A but the answer is C. I do not understand why A is not correct. Most mystery stories and mystery stories often seems like exactly the same thing to me.
(A) Most mystery stories feature a brilliant detective who solves the mystery presented in the story.
(C) Some mystery stories give readers enough clues to infer the correct solution to the mystery.
Help?
No idea. Test was a lot harder but I wasn't as nervous the second time around. Logic games murdered me on this one.
Anyone have any idea what the curve could be for this LSAT?
Can anybody tell me what logical reasoning questions that you must be wary of extreme language (only, whenever, all, etc) when approaching? I know inference questions ("the information above provides the most support for which one of the following") but what other questions is it important to be wary of extreme language and keep it vague? Also just on a side note, why is it important to be wary of extreme language on inference questions? I have ever come across an all encompassing answer for this.
Is this allowed? I feel like it will cut down on time transferring answers.
I did but I can't remember any of those questions unfortunately
Also I had the moose question on LR. I also remember a leopard magpie question on one section and a those who desire to be kind and devaluing companies questions on another LR section.
Anybody else think the real LG was really difficult? That's normally my best section and I bombed it. The water colors and oil painting game and the companies trading games were tough.
@ i just don't understand how we get from sp to uif. I have seen this multiple times with conditionals and it may be something I just never knew. Where its something like this: A---> B
C---->B then the "gap" is A----> C. I don't understand how to get there.
Question 18 talks about the columnist and taking a strong position. I have had several people try to diagram this in conditional statements and I still don't understand 1. my task and 2. how to diagram this in conditionals, and how to get to the answer choice C. Please help

Oh I completely understand now!! That makes so much sense @
