Hey guys! Here's the official December LSAT Discussion Thread. Please keep all discussions of the December 2016 LSAT here!

Here's some ground rules, taken from my usual sticky:

We know that everyone will be excited to discuss what was on the December '16 LSAT, but mentioning specifics about the test (e.g., "I got B for question 6" or "the 3rd LG was sequencing") can get both us and you in a lot of trouble with LSAC. Saying that the test was hard/easy without going into detail is okay, but anything more specific is not okay. LSAC monitors this forum.

If you're unsure what may be too specific, feel free to PM me with what you'd like to post.

The only exception is you can say which sections were real or experimental. For example, the LG with "flowers" was experimental. That's okay.

TL;DR: PLEASE don't talk specifics about December's LSAT in detail!

Here's where you can see the current Real/Experimental Sections:

Have fun discussing!

Has the amount of beer I’ve imbibed since finishing this test been caused by or merely correlated with my new friend Tony’s dilemma of starting a brewpub or a production brewery?

I don't like iguanas any more... well at least not when they're floating on an island to America.

Does anyone else get the feeling that the LSAT writers are starting to get unhinged on the games sections?

Anybody else think the real LG was really difficult? That's normally my best section and I bombed it. The water colors and oil painting game and the companies trading games were tough.

The companies trading buildings was SO hard! I would take the computer virus game over that one. Didn't finish it.

Just saying the brewpub route is an uphill battle, statistically speaking, but at the end of the day Tony's gotta be true to himself!

I took the lsat in Sept & Dec and both times I got LG as the experimental. I like LG but it's insanely hard - the watercolor/oil painting was very difficult for me so I skipped to the last game and I went ballistic.

Oh man this LSAT..... I want to crawl in my bed and cry my eyes out..... LG has always been my strongest section and I totally fucking bombed it. Had no clue how to do the watercolor/oil paint one, skipped it and moved on to Game 4 and knew even less how to do that one! I tried to treat it like the virus game, but it took up so much damn time, I ended up just guessing on most of it, and guessed on all of Game 3... I am so freaking mad about this. Had an anxiety attack after LG was over with and spend most of my time freaking out on the last LR section.....This was my second try and I wanted it to be my last and I don't even know what to do right now....

@emilycyoung1650 I also had a hard time with the LG section. It has always been my weakest section, but I had gotten to a point where I was confidently completing at least three games in all my the prep tests. On this one I was bumbling through the third game (the watercolor/oil paintings) and didn't even get to the one about the companies switching buildings. Just wanted to let you know you weren't alone thinking it was a rough section :-) In any case, I think I had a better experience than the guy in the room who threw up in the middle of it.

Ugh! The second LG was so bad I was hoping it was experimental but I guess it wasn't :( cuz I bombed that section I only got through the first two games and couldn't figure out the last two for the life of me. Not sure what to do now

@eae010589 I think it's fair to say that I was caught more off guard by these logic games than the pundits (and I) were by Trump winning the electoral college.

    HAHA! Same.

So the LG game with the paintings on the wall and the trading company screwed me with no vaseline !! Because wtf was that ???? to top it off I got 3 LR sections... I believe section 3 (26 questions ) was the experimental .. section one (25 questions) and section five (26 questions) i think were real ..... in other words, I am freaking out because LG is one of my strongest sections and I believe I bombed the last two question sets. They had no mercy whatsoever.

I don't remember anything about companies blaming until their was algae on LR. I thought the Corporations trading buildings game was super tough. Didn't even get through it. Luckily it was my last game and I just bubbled. Anyone else draw a blank?

I'm the first one to finish!!! Wooo!! WHICH WAS THE REAL LG??? I want to cry -- did so badly in one of them.

The real RC is the one with Rawls theory of justice!!

@kingfisher23457 that sucks, I'm really sorry to hear that :( It's not a good feeling. Same here. I was VERY confident in the first three sections (got a little stumped on RC... but its one of my weakest sections, so no surprise in that one) but man that second half... it killed me. I tried my best to keep my anxiety in check, and it went through the roof after that LG section and I couldn't keep it together. I was literally shaking on the last LR section.

I don't think I will cancel. When I took the LSAT last year, I felt pretty confident, but then found out I totally bombed. This time around I feel like I completely bombed, so hopefully the opposite will happen? A girl can dream...

If this was your first time, you always have February to retake, or you can make the very tough decision to delay for another year, study your butt off and retake next year in September or December. It's what I had to do last year after seeing my score. I knew there was no way I could increase my score in just a month or two.

So at this point I honestly think I am done. I need to start school next year, and there is no way I am delaying another year. I also think that if I take the risk to re-take again in February the same thing could happen all over again and my test anxiety will ruin everything and then it'll be really really late into the application process and I'l end up with 3 horrible or mediocre scores.

@emma486 yup we're totally in the same boat. I am hoping for a VERY gracious curve... although I don't know if a gracious curve can make up for this fuck up. And I felt the exact same way. My anxiety was off the charts after LG and I thought I was going to have a panic attack and could not concentrate on LR and also had to re-read every question like 2 or 3 times to just somewhat comprehend. I was also so frustrated with myself at that point that I wanted to just cancel my score and walk out and cry for days.

@seanpankhurst170715 I think I had the same setup as you did. I had LR-RC-LR-LG-LR. The first LR felt pretty tough, the second LR was stupid easy (I'm guessing that was the experimental) and the last LR really would've been totally fine, had I not been so thrown off and ridden with anxiety from the LG mess.

I got wrecked by those LG. Normally I do fairly well on them but between the watercolors and the trade buildings I'm definitely going to have to retake. Trying to figure out whether I should cancel or not. Nice to know I wasn't the only one who thought they were tough.
