All that time slugging through foundations is paying off right now lol
I got this one wrong. On review, though, I actually think this question is made so much easier by doing a straight logic translation. What I did to correct my work here was the following:
(He = health, Ha = happiness, M = money)
Translation of the stim:
1.) He → /M (Group 4 translation)
2.) /He → /Ha (Group 3 translation)
Chaining this we get:
Ha → He → /M
Contraposing we get:
M → /He → /Ha
This is exactly what answer choice A gives us! The logic demonstrates that acquiring money makes happiness unobtainable.
Hope this helps!
The Goku analogy is SO helpful in conceptualizing this!
How long does it take you all to map out conditional logic questions (or any questions, for that matter)? I feel like it takes me at least another minute longer than the target time to fully map out the logic. While this method is incredibly helpful in actually identifying the correct answer, it does come at the cost of losing time... anyone else experiencing the same?
How common is it to use Lawgic under timed conditions? I feel like I would struggle to get the translation in a timely manner and would worry about the validity of any conclusions that follow (particularly on some of the harder MBT questions that require a little more parsing than this question)
Continued exposure to questions will improve your self-confidence. Keep honing your skills and it'll come! :)
