my only concern with pushing it again till november is a) that's another 400$ down the drain and ill have to pay another $400 to take the january one cuz we're past the refund date considering the oct lsat is next week. the other issue is that applications are due nov 1 and idk how it would affect me to apply without a score?

not improving vent and looking for advice

hello,

I'm just here to vent. I started seriously studying for the LSAT in july of this past summer and took a diagnostic and after months off and scored a 139 on the diagnostic. Looking at the analytics of that PT it was an overall more challenging PT so I guess it makes sense. But despite doing literally everything right I am not improving at all. I'm a Canadian student and our applications are due nov 1 and i plan to take the october LSAT next week. However, I'm averaging a 149/150 and the highest I've scored in a timed PT is a 152. In an untimed test highest I've scored is a 156. My GPA is already considered pretty low so if I want to get into any law school it's dependent on my LSAT score. My original goal was a 158 or best case scenario a 160. But it seems like it's just not in my potential. I was planning on rewriting in January too but I don't think that'll help me chances as I already pushed it from August to October because in August my PTs were 147, 146, and 152 I thought I could realistically improve to a 158. It seems as though I can't do any better than 150 and Idk what to do about it. I've decided to apply to 1 law school in Ontario that doesn't have a minimum LSAT or GPA but its just devastating accepting the fact that I won't do better than I am now so matter how much time I give myself. For context I only have 1 class a week to finish my undergraduate degree and only work part time 3 days a week so I dedicate 2-5 hours of studying a day on LSAT prep.

Considering this is the case, should I even bother to write it in January or apply to the 1 school I have in mind and accept I'll be going to a school I don't particularly want to go to? Or should I just give up on law school and leave it be?

Thanks

LSAT Accommodations

So I'm registered to take the August LSAT and as I'm studying I've noticed it's more helpful to either be able to read it aloud or be able to have a physical copy in front of me. I assumed writing the LSAT in person in a writing centre meant it would be a pen-and-paper test however I just found out you'd still be writing it digitally. I have since decided I prefer to write it in person in a writing centre and would prefer a pen and paper test however, looking at the LSAC website I will need to apply for accommodations.

My questions now will follow: (1) do I have enough time to apply for accommodations and still be approved before having to write the LSAT in August? and (2) I don't have any disability/ diagnosis I notice that it helps me better understand what's being said, do I have to apply for accommodations with a Qualified Professional form?

In other words, is the only way to get this accommodation through having a diagnosed disability?

Thank you!

The distribution is always random but general rule of thumb is that questions 1-10/15 tend to be the easier ones and then questions 20-25/26 are the hardest. Sometimes the writers will throw in harder ones at the beginning and sometimes there's some easier ones at the end but that's the general rule.

As someone who is currently struggling on RC to improve it I totally get it. One thing I've started doing is completely untimed RC passages. I start with 1 passage drill and take my time to blind review it and then log it into my blind review journal. Also personally, I find spending more time than suggested on the passage has been a lot more helpful for me as I tend to make up the time when answering the questions. In my opinion, getting a grasp of the organization and what the author is saying is key to answering the questions. My second suggestion is taking to time to read the question and the answer choices. Often time I find myself trying to speed through and find the right answer but it's important to understand what the question is asking of you and what the AC are actually stating. For now, I would suggest focusing on untimed RC drills and focus on your understanding of the passage and questions and then move into timed sections from there once you see progress in your scores.

I can't promise this will help, but it's worth a try. goodluck!

Different Wrong Answers after taking a drill

So I just made a custom drill of PT 130 S2 with all the RC passages in it and I'm currently reviewing my answers. I have attempted this section before. After getting my results I would click "Ques" under the Explanation tab on the right hand side, but I'm noticing a discrepancy between the drill results and the questions listed under the explanation video as there are results under there too. For example, in the drill review results it's indicating I missed Q5, but upon opening the explanation video the results under the video says I got that question right. And it's happening for a few other questions. I'm unsure if this is an actual problem or if it's just showing me the results from the last time I drilled this section? I can't tell as neither of them are dated. It's confusing me as even the timing report differs for example, in the drill it states I picked an answer within 18 seconds and the explanation video says it took me 47 seconds. Are these just results from two different dates of taking the same drill?

here is what i dont understand. the special coupon is available for MEMBERS if we're assuming that pat is not a member, how can we assume that he gets access to a coupon? that's where i got confused, because i made the inference that Pat is not a member, but none of the answer choices made any sense.

Time Strategy Suggestions

Hello!

I have been PTing at 150 for the past 3 months despite studying an average of 4 hours a day drilling specific question types, doing sections of LR and RC and then blind reviewing every question and then inserting them into my wrong answer journal. Recently I took a completely untimed PT where I allowed myself to think through each question and didn't move on until I was 100% sure the AC I picked was correct. On that PT I scored the highest I've ever scored a 156, however I know I can do better, but I'm taking the October LSAT. It's clear that extra time would be extremely beneficial to me as especially with RC I need to take longer on the passages in order to understand what is being said.

Does anyone have any time strategy suggestions that can hopefully help me actually score closer to my potential by October? Or should I just accept that I will most likely score a 150 and retake it in January?

Thank you!

Drills Setting

I was wondering if in the drill settings, where we can customize and create our own drills, if there's an option where we could drill the questions we got wrong?

I'm not sure if 7sage keeps track of every wrong question aside from those submitted in the preptests, but i feel like it would be helpful to be able to re-drill questions we've been answering wrong.

Thank you!

i think it's really helpful for visual people to see where their strengths and weaknesses are. but the priority size of the graph tends to be a bit confusing. but i use it to see what is highest priority so i can drill those question types.

Huge Score Drop week before Jan Test

Hello,

So I wrote my test in Oct and scored a 152 and then signed up for the Jan one. Around November I started taking it seriously and in the PTs 130-140s I was consistently scoring 156-158 and BR 161-163 which was improving my confidence. However once I started the PT150s my score in every section plummeted. For RC my average per section was -9 pretty consistently where my LR averaged between -7 and -9 BRing my LR around -4 and -6 per section. I took 153 and scored a 158. 154 scored 156 and just took 156 and scored a 151.

I write the LSAT in legit 4 days and now I'm panicking cuz the RCs in the 150s are so much harder than I thought and RC was my biggest issue and bringing it down to -9 was a fight.

Essentially my question is, because the 150s are closest to the modern tests, should I expect my score to between 151 and 153? What should I do? I feel like I'm out of time.

im understanding on how to draw and graph the relationships and im grasping that concept just fine. However im struggling with translating that to the question answers or rather when I look at the question answers compared to the drawn relationship I'm getting confused.

Is anyone else struggling with this specific issue too?

Any advice?

Analytics Chart Priority Rankings

Hi! Does anyone know what the priority rankings mean when looking at your analytics? Because there are some question types that I have a high % of accuracy but then it gives a number - or + regarding priority. So if i have a higher % of accuracy shouldn't that question type have a lower priority ranking (meaning a positive number)?

Thankyou!

Would like to reinstate my Core subscription

Hello,

This isn't much of a technical problem but I was wondering if there's some way to reverse cancelling the Core membership. I cancelled mine but have decided I want to keep it for a few months. It expires Dec 12 and there's no button to reverse or re-subscribe for another month of the Core membership. I'm worried that if I let it expire then it'll get rid of all my PT data.

Is there anyway to fix this?

Thank you!

Struggling to make sense of abstract AC

Hello!

As I am drilling various question types, I have noticed a pattern in how I'm getting questions wrong. My main strategy with LR is that I drill the questions I need to work on most and slowly increase the difficulty. I was drilling specific flaw/ descriptive reasoning questions and as I'm getting to the 4/5 level difficulty questions I have noticed the AC have become very abstract. Even though I'm getting the assumptions right, and understanding the stimulus and where I have to look I'm still struggling to make sense of what they mean and often times that is why I end up picking the wrong AC.

Does anyone have any ideas where I could practice this specific drill? Or any ideas of how to improve this skill?

Thank you!
