February 2018 Study Group

Hello everyone!

I would like to know if there are any February 2018 Study Groups already existing, please. And if there are none yet, can interested students like myself form one???

Hi Freddy_D and thanks so much for your reply.

My only worry is that students in this forum, although very smart, highly dedicated and enthusiastic, they are no LSAT tutors or experts when it comes to answer and solve some twisted problems so common in this highly complicated test .....

LSAT Course Upgrade

Hi everyone!

I am seriously considering upgrading to LSAT Premium. However, I am wondering, what would happen if during the course I would stumble upon anything and I would need a real person's help to clarify an eventual problem???

Thanks very much! I realised what it meant just a few minutes after posting this comment but unfortunately 7sage doesn't allow to delete a comment after it has been posted....

4 Possible Explanations for Causation

Hi everyone,

I am stumbling upon this concept on this lesson https://classic.7sage.com/lesson/4-possible-explanations/

Correlation implies causation but, according to logic and lawgic, causation DOES NOT imply correlation. To my understanding, this lesson is telling me a completely different story and I cannot see the nuance. How is it possible that if A causes B, B can cause A???

Thanks very much!

Study Group in Milwaukee WI

Hi there!

I am looking to connect and possibly to meet up with other individuals in and around Milwaukee, WI who are planning to take the LSAT anytime in 2018 for mutual help, support and encouragement.

Thanks!

Start from the beginning! Some of what you learn in LR will be helpful in LG and RC; you can maximize your score in all sections by really understanding LR. Also, LR is worth half of the LSAT, so it is crucial that you spend the time you need to nail that section. Good luck!

Thanks samantha.ashley92, you are raising a really good point. After studying on and off for 6 weeks now I am starting to notice some similarities and connections among the sections. Thanks and good luck to you too!

Congrats on the upgrade :)

I really found it best to just start from the beginning and follow the course. Don't feel like you have to do ALL, or even many of the problem sets. Go through the lessons in order and do the problem sets for the corresponding lessons until you feel comfortable. Memorize the things you can (logical indicators, argument forms, common flaws, etc). You also don't need to master everything the first time you go through the CC. You should plan on having to return to review during your drilling and PT phase.

Thanks very much Alex, I hope to be ready for our PT36 BR on Tuesday December 5th!!

LSAT Ultimate +

Hi everyone!

I just purchased the LSAT Ultimate + Course and, although I am very excited and really willing to start, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed as the wealth of material to cover is quite vast. Do you have any suggestions as to where to start from and what to start with, please?

Any comments are really appreciated!

Thanks!

@ Please come back, we normally don't use web cams & just look at Josh's screen showing LR Questions representing the concepts :)

Excuse me but what are you talking about?

May I ask you, how many hours per day and how many days per week did you study? Thanks!

Ok so we should do PT36 before the first session?

I'll post all of the details next week when everything is set in stone.

But yes, our first blind review group meeting will be BR'ing PT36 (December 2001 LSAT)

Don't take PT36 unless you have completed the core curriculum and have done the proper drilling first.

I thought I'd make a fun LSAT riddle for ya

Awesome! I currently got both the LSAT PT's books of 19-28 and 29-38 so that sounds like music to my ears!!!

May I ask you why did you decide for us to start our BR'ing with PT36? Is it because is one of the first tests? Just being curious.

Thanks very much!

There's no denying that the prestige that comes with graduating from a T14 is life changing, not just in law but in any field, and it should not be underestimated. However, I have met people who graduated from Marquette University located in Milwaukee,WI - a very well respected institution locally but lagging well behind in the national rankings, which doesn't even make it to the top 50!- who have started locally upon graduation and have gone to develop very successful careers not just in the Wisconsin/Midwestern market but also internationally. My take in all this is that in the legal field, as in life, what it can really make a difference is what we make of it as well as the opportunities that we are able to create for ourselves.
