Recording taking the tests

I have been listening to the podcasts and some of them suggest recording the PTs and re-watching them later. How do people do this (if they do). Like logistically, how do you record yourself taking a practice PT in the most effective manner?

Hey guys! not OP but we already have an established discord server for 2022 test takers :) Here is the discord server: https://discord.gg/dhraMabm

A couple of us are getting together to do a BR session of PT 37 on Saturday. We are planning to take the test and not look at the answers and do the BR together. If you are interested, dm me and I will send you the discord link because that is where we are having the session :)

I think I dm'd everyone the server, let me know if you didn't get in. For a more detailed overview of what we do.

We usually do a session a week where we either do a drill of a specific type of LSAT question or we blind review a PT section together. It's a very open community where you can ask questions about understanding an LSAT AC or getting help with general study tips.

We also allow everyone to plan sessions if they want to take initiative and organize one.

The only thing we ask is for people to be active on the server as we have realised that that is the best way for both sides to benefit :)

CC v2 Questions

I am getting to the SA part of the curriculum, and it doesn't seem to have the review or theory and approach sections in the later question types. Is there a plan to add that or is the v2 curriculum finished? Would love to know if there is a timeline for adding those parts of the curriculum if the ccv2 curriculum is still being worked on.

Does anyone want to create a study group for the June LSAT on Discord for people who want to get 170 or 175+? Would love something consistent for motivation and questions etc.

Will prioritize people who are willing to be active in the study group. I am currently working through the 7sage core curriculum and I am also using the loophole and readingcomp hero.

So you would convert the digital test to paper and then a score sheet would appear

I am not sure if this is what you mean, but I am pretty sure you can manually score the PTs on 7sage, so this is a lot more work but if you want to do analytics, you could take the answers you picked on lawhub and then input them in here and then 7sage would score it for you here as well.

Hey Guys!

I have an established discord server with other members taking the test where we have created an awesome community. Some members left or were inactive so we have opened the group up to new members. Message below if interested and I will send a discord server link in your dms. Really excited to add new members to our community!

Stimulus

Unaware of humming ––> Humming is involuntary ––> Shouldn’t be held responsible

Answer Choices

(A) – Incorrect because the stimulus is only about in-match behavior

(B) – Out of scope because we are just talking about professional players

(C) – This question type seems to have got the logic backwards. It is stating that involuntary ––> Unaware. Therefore, that makes it wrong as it doesn’t really affect the stimulus. Additionally, “not all” is important as it results in us making an assumption that humming is in the group of involuntary actions that people are aware of when we really don’t have that information. Humming could still be in the group of involuntary actions that people are unaware of and therefore, it doesn’t weaken the stimulus

(D) – CORRECT – This AC is correct because it weakens the support between something being involuntary and the chess player not having to be responsible. If the chess player can easily learn to notice it and control it, even if it is involuntary, then they should still be help responsible for it

(E) – Incorrect because it doesn’t have anything to do with Marianne’s argument

Why did I get this question wrong?

I picked C because I made the assumption that if not all involuntary actions are what people are unaware of, then humming is one of those actions and therefore, it weakens the stimulus. But there are two problems with this:

1) It’s a mistaken reversal of the logic

2) Just because some involuntary actions are actions that people can be aware of, doesn’t mean humming is one of them

How to not make the mistake again?

Be cautious of assumptions when reading through answer choices

This is my breakdown of the question. Does this make sense?

Analysing a test

I just took my diagnostic and got a 159. I am not sure about how I should analyse the test now. Should I just go through the explanations of the questions I got wrong. I am not exactly sure how to proceed. If someone could give me some tips that would be great

Drill analytics

#Feedback

Wondering if drills analytics is a feature the 7sage team is thinking about. I think it would be useful to have analytics on drills and not just PrepTests. What do other people think?

@ I don't use analytics yet because I haven't started PT'ing yet but I really like that. I have been trying to write explanations out for questions that I have got wrong (especially question types that I feel less strongly about). Do you think it's worth it to do those questions after a couple of days or just leave it at looking over the explanations?

I am interested!

Hey guys!

Just started a discord server for the January/February LSAT 2022: https://discord.gg/T3dMtJ47. I want the people who join to be active participants so that the discord server is able to benefit all of us. Please join if you are interested. There is no minimum score to join but I want people to be motivated to put in the effort to be able to get their goal score. Excited to work with everyone!

*EDIT: Even if you are planning to take the LSAT later, please free to join this discord. It is never too early to start joining these study groups. I have pushed the LSAT for about six months so I am more than aware that plans change. I want to create a community on the discord server that goes beyond me taking the test :)

How do people fool-proof LR?

It seems a lot harder to not go to the AC that you remember just because you have memorized it and not because you know the inferences when you repeat the question so how do you repeat without doing that (or should you)? Additionally, I read somewhere about doing parallel arguments during blind review. Can someone give me an example of that? I am finding it hard to picture what exactly that looks like

Repeating RC passages

I just went through the memory method curriculum. Is it useful to do the drill again with the same passage if you don't remember everything the first time (after a couple of days) or is it not worth it to do that with RC?

BR Problem Sets

Do people BR all of the questions in the Problem Sets or just the ones that you have flagged? Based on what JY says in the BR section it seems to be that you ignore the ones that you don't circle? But in the comments everyone seems to BR everything

Do people still print out games?

I was wondering how to stimulate LSAT digital conditions but I still feel like doing the LG diagramming on paper is the most effective way to do it? How do people deal with this?

I just did the Weaken problem sets and got a lot of them wrong. I feel extremely let down and I am not really sure how to approach the questions that I get wrong. I watch the explanations but I don't seem to internalize the information that JY is saying when I do the next questions. Do any of you have any suggestions?
