I understood it as this: The prosecutor is claiming that the client was insane at the time of the shot, and because there is evidence that the client was sane after the shot, is assuming that he went from insane-->sane. But generally doesn't it make sense to go from sane-->insane (or remain sane)? Because there was no evidence of sanity at the time of the shot, the prosecutor jumped to an absurd conclusion to try and get his client to go free. It's as if the prosecutor believes that the client just flipped a switch on his insanity.
same, I felt so confident crossing (E) out because if anything, I thought that more police officers would contribute to a "rise" in violent crimes.
Similarity in composition (matter) does not necessarily mean size. For example, my LSAT book is made up of 300 pages of paper, and while my fiction book is also made up of paper, it isn't 300 pages and therefore not as thick as my LSAT book. Idk if this helps
Honestly, -8 on LR no matter the time is a big accomplishment in itself! I found that the hardest part of the test was committing to studying and not giving up, and you seem to be doing just fine on that part :) Good luck with studying and keep pushing!
I chose D and immediately crossed out E because of 'any creature', but the key word is 'that'. So it's not just 'any creature' but it's 'any creature THAT is capable of feeling pain' (in this case, a mammal is sufficient). Also replacing 'any' with 'some' in E would not provide the strong support that Jeff's conclusion needs. I should've thought as 'any' as 'if'.
I did the same :////
to anyone reading this: take this as a sign to read carefully / underline with your cursor/pencil lmao
I get that this question is difficult, but part of me feels like I would still try and tackle this question rather than skipping it on the test bc I'll convince myself that it's doable. Is there a better way to determine which questions I should be skipping on test day? #help
The first few times I did this method on 2-part passages it took forever. Long enough that I thought I should try a new method completely. But after practicing with reading the first part/filtering I was able to bring my average time down. So if you find that your time is decreasing after a few practice passages, stick with it, but it not, you can always try a different method that works for you!!
