Is there a way to turn off the grey answers while blind reviewing so it's truly blind?

There hasn't been a way to do that until now. Now when you are doing blind review, you should see an icon of an eye with a slash through it . If you tap on that icon, it will hide the answers. The system doesn't save your setting for this right now, so if you leave the tester and come back, it will reset to visible answers.

Thank you! That is super helpful!! 🙂

I agree, but I don't think the digital aspect makes me hesitate as much as the whole cancelling your score. Does it look negative to schools to cancel your score rather than a plain retake?

Which LSAT date should I aim for?

Hi everyone!

I have just started working my way through the CC and I'm already glad I chose 7sage as my study course. For context, I am a non-traditional applicant 7 years out of undergrad and almost 4 years out of my masters program, working full-time in a policy advisor position for a federal agency in DC. My undergrad GPA was low (2.94) so I need to rock the LSAT. My cold diagnostic a week ago before I started 7sage was a 151.

I am planning to apply next fall for the 2019-2020 cycle and I would like to apply as early as possible to give myself a good chance. I am trying to nail down which LSAT date I should aim for while still having time for a retake if necessary. I was originally thinking March 2019, but I want to give myself time to foolproof LG, drill, and take PTs so I don't know if that seems too aggressive. Would either the June or July 2019 exam be best? I am also concerned about whether the July exam possibly being digital is a positive or negative.

I think if A is essential then that would be the necessary condition. So B -> A

Would it be good to take the March or June test before the July test as practice? I am wondering if it would be more stressful to have the July test be the first real LSAT I take combined with the uncertainty of getting the paper or digital version. Or maybe that's just overthinking it...

I'm confused about your question. If you take the March or June test you don't have the option to cancel after you see the score. How would that be beneficial?

Sorry I guess what I meant was the combined stress of not knowing what format we'll get in July and being the first time taking the LSAT. I'm thinking of taking March to at least have one guaranteed paper test under my belt before taking July. Then if I don't need to retake after July so be it, but then if I need to I can cancel and take September.

Nope, no train power switch question on my version.

How does a cancel on your record compare to a retake? I am planning to take the June or July 2019 as my first try, with the September date as a retake option to still apply early. I have a low GPA I need to offset with a high LSAT. Does a cancellation look bad?

Pretty sure one cancellation won't hurt at all.

Yeah, this is my feeling about it. You might raise some eyebrows if you have something like four or five cancels, but even then, the high score pretty much rules. Many schools even straight up tell you that they only consider your high score. If a cancel hurts at all, it’s a very minor ding. It’s a very minor trade off for the advantages here.

Awesome! Okay, I'll plan on July then. That gives me another month to study too.

Take it when you feel ready. If you're PTing pretty close to a score you would be happy with by the November deadline, then sign up. But I would be willing to bet that at least January will be Flex as well.

I'm still working on the CC, but I plan on fool-proofing LG once I finish. After that I plan on drilling a few nights a week for all 3 sections using material from tests 50 and earlier. I will start with one full PT a week using the PT 50 and later and go from there. Most people have said one PT a week is enough to start since BR should take a good chunk of time. After a while you may be able to bump that up to 2/week. Take at least one day off a week completely to give your brain a break.

Another user posted a while back with her method and it seemed like it would work for me. kimpg_66's post is here: https://classic.7sage.com/discussion/#/discussion/14336/here-was-my-study-schedule-for-my-20-point-increase
