#help I think the right answers is contradicting with L 53-L56 :
#8. Correct answer choice about the main point is "While performing the functions ascribed to names by European thinkers, Hopi names also possess a significant aesthetic quality that these thinkers have not adequately recognized."
However in the L53-L56 in the last paragraph says : "This view of Hopi names is thus opposed not only to Mill's claim that personal names are without inherent meaning but also to Levi Strauss's purely functional characterization."
Meaning last paragraph says Hopi's name do not reflect those two philisophers's views. However, in the mainpoint question in #8, the right AC says Hopi's name is performing the functions attributed by those two.
Can anybody help me out in resolving this discrepancy? I feel confused.
#help I can
t understand why (e) absurd conclusion is not a correct answer.. Can anybody advise?
I’m not an English native speaker, I have difficulty in understanding the exact meaning of “dictate” in this sentence. Could anybody tell me what the “dictate” means here?:
A child’s accustomed style of learning should always dictate what method is used.

#help I wonder why we do not make any correlation this part : "Heart attack is a number one killer in North America".
I thought S,D,E (Smoking, Drinking, Excercise) correlates with Colesterol which correlated with Heart attack. Heart attack correlates with n.1 killer in North America.
Can anybody let me know why we don't make any correlation with number 1 killer in NA?
Sleep over 8 hours a day, take Omega 3 three times a day(over at least 1000mg/day) with Vitamin B. It would help you maintaining morale.
#help I'm not a native English Speaker so I might not have understood well the difference in terms between "thickness" and "volume"..
Aren't they used in the same meaning when the glass is under pressure, it becomes thinner, meaning volume decreases... (Aren't they the same meaning?)
These terms confused me so I missed this question :(
#help I don't understand why Maria's argument is valid. Isn't it kind of Hasty Generalization to conclude that we do not need formal education to make great contributions to the technological advancement?
What if Edison was genius so that he didn't need that lower level of education like many other genius who dropped the school?
