Can you explain how the last sentence wouldn't be the conclusion? I may be relying to heavily on the indicator word "so".

Wouldn't the second sentence of 6.3 be the conclusion? I don't know how one could argue that "musicologists have recently discovered a new rhythm that seems to generate a powerful sense of excitement."
