Thanks folks, October 3rd it is then... $90.00... Like it really cost them that much to change my date? Oh well...

Hi All...

I'm accepting reality and changing my test date from June to, well, October or December. I can't decide. On the one hand, if I don't keep having things happen that interrupt my preparation I could be ready by October, but life keeps happening, so maybe I should do December. If I change to October now, and later decide I want to stall ... er, change, again, can I later switch from October to December?

Thanks...

And as a further extension to that, public libraries use software to manage the lending of eBooks and other digital media. The software allows only n copies of any particular ebook, CD, DVD, whatever to be "on loan" at any given time. So if a library buys 10 copies of "The Kill Artist" then only 10 copies will be in use by library patrons simultaneously. Digital loans expire just as paper book loans do, the primary difference being that expiration of the digital media is enforced by the software. The file disappears from your reader upon expiration.

It would be interesting to watch the collective heads of the LSAC explode if a public library would buy 10 copies of the Cambridge complete PT set in PDF, and start to loan them...

Y.J., just out of curiosity, what additional requirements did LSAC apply to PDF distribution? I have significant in software design and development, so you have me curious...

7Sage works on my android tablet, but you need to install the app. The chrome browser would not play the videos. I quickly found that the course has very limited utility on a tablet. Watching the videos is fine, but rarely am I just watching the videos without referring to PT questions. I like to watch and have the PT in front of me at the same time, and of course for practicing you need paper and pencil anyhow. If I had not already had a tablet (which was a cheap converted NOOK ereader) I would not have bought one just for this.

I bought all the LG sections of the prep tests from Cambridge, I think for $80.00. I thought this package was $320 at the time, and I could not swing that. Now I see it's $280, which is still pricy. Okay, so it's $4.00 per PT, which sounds quite good, especially for the PDFs (which may not be available much longer) but still...

Having just paid $170 to register, plus $80ish credentials fee, plus school app fees, plus some random $28 fee just because LSAC seem to enjoy charging fees... Oh yeah, plus the fee for this course (which so far has been the best spent money - and I just got the low end one) plus some books from Amazon, well... I was still in sticker shock so I opted for the cheap way out. If I had to do it again I would probably drop the $280.00, primarily because they could vanish forever...

Oh unless he meant a printed out PDF, yes I can see the problem there.

Why should it be against the rules to sell hard copy PTs? I can absolutely see the issue with sharing the PDFs, but if I choose to loan my books to a friend or resell them, what's the issue there?

Okay, that settles it. No more erasing! Thanks all...

@ which they would never be able to do without the government enabling them.

Why no erasing?

YJ keeps saying not to erate, but rather to copy the entire game board over. That just seems super slow to me, especially when space is limited. Take a simple sequence game. If the rules put S in 5, I'll put S in slot 5 and draw a square around it to remember that it's there by definition. I'll work the question and when done, erase the question specific markings. Its quick.

But I assume there is a reason the experts say to avoid that approach.

The reason law school is so expensive is the same reason all schools are expensive - largely, it's because the government is paying the bill. Or, at least the interest for a while. Someone commented that demand dwindles while supply increases yet, cost goes up. That's what happens when the government gets involved and short circuits market forces.

As for the ABA, they stubbornly refuse to accredit an online law school. This site is just one reason they should reverse that policy.

After "Introduction to sequencing games 3", t would be really handy to have a lesson that focused on resequencing these diagrams. The first three do a fine job of explaining how to draw them, how to interpret them and how to pair them down, but don't really cover what to do when the question dictates a premise change.

I suppose to some its obvious but when I did the first LG of the four that are called for in "problem set 1" I found that I didn't have a clear understanding of what could be moved where, which lines could be abandoned and so on. Maybe I was overthinking the questions (I overthink everything) but it confused me a bit.

Just a thought!

I have many friends who are attorneys and they all agree that 2 years would be fine.

I just checked, it looks like PT-66 is the first PT with the change you mentioned. Its a nice change, lots and lots of white space to draw in!

The course and LG coverage

Hi All...

Looking at the syllabus, I'm wondering if all the different types of logic games are covered by the course? I bought the lowest level primarily for LG coverage (although I intend to use all of it). I see that all the LGs are explained on the free section of the site but I'm wondering if the course covered how to break down all the different types?

I ask because in one of the videos the instructor said that there are about six types, and I see the Kaplan books I have (on loan from a friend) seems to talk about a bunch of types... Linear, in-out, whatever...

@, yes one of the motivators to buy the entire set was fear that they just won't be available later. I know I can erase but it not the same thing as a clean sheet.

I'm not sure I understand your question. The LG sections look just like they do in the books I bought. So much so, in fact, that there is no hint in the PDF what PT it was taken from. I was going to mark them with the PT number but the PDF can't be edited. The filename does, however, reflect the PT test.

Okay I took the plunge and bought all the Cambridge PT Logic Games - Every LG section ever with the answer key. All 70 of them. And, they sent me an email with 70 separate links!!! Each link is only valid for 72 hours and can be accessed only 3 times. What a nuisance, but they look like good drills.

Ah! Cambridge still offers them, thanks everyone. I didn't see them on Ebay.

So, I can get all the LG questions from prep tests 1 - 38 for about $50.00. So, that makes me wonder, are the old tests still valid as a study tool, or are they obsolete? I ask because I don't know if the questions have changed in nature since the older tests.

Thanks again!

PDFs

So I just missed being able to get the PDF files without DRM by a few days! I want to be able to practice them over and over, as recommended, but photocopying out of the book is just a major pain in the rear (yes I realize I only need to do it once for each test - still a pain). Is there a source for the PDFs, even if they have DRM? If I can print it once I'm golden.

Hi All...

New here, and hoping to take the LSAT in June, with just 5 weeks t prepare. Crazy, if I don;t PT with an acceptable score I'll delay until October, which of course means no law school this year.

Anyhow, to give myself the most study time possible I need to make these videos run on my Android tablet. When I try I just get a big black square and nothing resembling video. Does anyone else having it running on an Android tablet? The tabled is a B&N Nook running Cyonagenmod.

Thanks!
