PDFs

So I just missed being able to get the PDF files without DRM by a few days! I want to be able to practice them over and over, as recommended, but photocopying out of the book is just a major pain in the rear (yes I realize I only need to do it once for each test - still a pain). Is there a source for the PDFs, even if they have DRM? If I can print it once I'm golden.

@jim317 I know, right??? Glad I was trained to do things more compactly by the earlier tests but man ... that extra space is luxurious :D

I just checked, it looks like PT-66 is the first PT with the change you mentioned. Its a nice change, lots and lots of white space to draw in!

@jim317 Earlier tests have games and questions all on one page. Later tests have each game spread onto two pages. I believe it started in the 60's somewhere.

@2543, yes one of the motivators to buy the entire set was fear that they just won't be available later. I know I can erase but it not the same thing as a clean sheet.

I'm not sure I understand your question. The LG sections look just like they do in the books I bought. So much so, in fact, that there is no hint in the PDF what PT it was taken from. I was going to mark them with the PT number but the PDF can't be edited. The filename does, however, reflect the PT test.

@2543.hopkins thank you. The ones that need erasing are early PTs too. :-)

@2543.on.me Yeah, the pink ones I got at Target, 3/$1 :D They've served me well through *many* a retake/heavy erasing session. One of the used PT books I got had ridiculously heavy pencil markings and these erasers worked just fine. Not perfect, but it was PT7 so who cares ;)

@2543.hopkins I have a PT book I got cheap on eBay or Amazon but I need to erase markings in it, any recommendations on erasers?

WOW! @jim317 that's the motherload. Do they format the games on 2 pages? Way to go—IMO, you won't regret that purchase, especially once Cambridge can no longer sells PDF's.

Okay I took the plunge and bought all the Cambridge PT Logic Games - Every LG section ever with the answer key. All 70 of them. And, they sent me an email with 70 separate links!!! Each link is only valid for 72 hours and can be accessed only 3 times. What a nuisance, but they look like good drills.

The older test are great for drilling and familiarizing yourself with the question types. You want to save PT 38+ for when you're finished with the course.

Ah! Cambridge still offers them, thanks everyone. I didn't see them on Ebay.

So, I can get all the LG questions from prep tests 1 - 38 for about $50.00. So, that makes me wonder, are the old tests still valid as a study tool, or are they obsolete? I ask because I don't know if the questions have changed in nature since the older tests.

    Thanks again!

As far as I know, Cambridge is still selling them. Otherwise pick up the 10 Actuals books off of Amazon and get yourself some erasers :) this is what I've done for the past 10 months and I'm a bit of a super prepper (all LSATs all the time ... 6 days a week on top of working full time and having a meaningful social life).

Whether PDF or book ... You'll be fine!

You'd have to find a company whose licenses haven't expired yet and buy them all through them. I have no idea who that might be, you might want to check out the prep forums on TLS or just google such a query. If I were you and couldn't find it that way I would go to every test prep site and check out if they still have PDFs if they had been in the business of providing them.

But if I were really you I wouldn't place such great importance on doing them over and over so I'd just got buy a bunch of clean used copies of the 10 Actual PT sets readily available on Amazon and then use the early ones for drilling and the newer ones for doing full PTs just as 7Sage has it set up. Good luck!
