Hey guys! I am looking for a couple of individuals who are scoring between 155 and 165 to set aside a time and study together 2-3 hours a day during this time. We can discuss interesting questions or we can just simply do our own thing but keep each other accountable through zoom or google hangout.

A little bit about me:

I've been working full-time and studying part-time for about a year now. I started at 144 and now hitting the upper 150's to low 160's plateau and need to get that extra push for my exam in September.

Anyone interested, please leave a comment especially if you are studying in the PST zone!

Thank you.

Law school fairs are awesome!

I can't imagine how informative and fruitful law school fairs and campus recruiting events must be for y'all Americans, but yesterday I had a chance to meet a few school reps who came to visit my city in Canada. It was my first time meeting anyone from the admission committee, talk about the process outside the online 7sage forum, and was shocked to see so many other eager and passionate applicants (in real life).

It was overall a very uplifting experience because I could really see the passion they had for their programs. Well, I got to meet one of the Assistant Deans for a school I was interested in applying, and I instantly bonded with her over our passion for biotechnology and drug discovery! I worked as an anti-cancer research assistant for a couple of years before taking this route as a law school applicant. Turns out she was also heading the Innovations & IP clinic of that school. I think I ended up talking to her for about 20 minutes and then she asked for my personal contact before I left the fair.

This morning, I got in touch with an IP law professor of that school (who happens to be very famous in the scientific world for her research), who happens to work with pharmaceutical and biotech firms in the city the school is located in. I had a phone call after that and she got me in contact with the people who can help me secure a summer job in their R&D department even before law school started. This is super exciting!

Of course, I need to work really hard to meet their median LSAT score on the November exam to be a qualified applicant, but the moral of the story is, when you are genuinely interested in a school's program, do your homework, and ask questions nicely, the reps will guide you in a way and help open doors for you. Just wanted to share some positivity during this anxious time!

So we can still use 5 pieces of blank paper on other sections as well? I diagram my MBTs or Parallel MOR questions on paper while doing the digital test....

This is a stressful time indeed.

Taking a 3 section test at the comfort of your home vs taking a 5 section test in a foreign environment with 200 other people + the physical fatigue from getting to the test centre, waiting in line, waiting for instructions from proctor?? It's a no brainer for me regardless of where your weakness lies...

Okay my heat sank when I saw the title of the discussion thread because I recognize that username from his explanations throughout CC. @ I didn't know you were offering tutoring services!!!!!

Reading this thread actually assured me that you are a fair, cool-headed, and patient tutor and I really want to work with you during my last stretch before my June/July LSAT. Will you be able to offer any more tutoring services (even just once a week) at this time? I'd highly appreciate it!

My safari works after following this instruction: https://lsac.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360046003674-Why-am-I-having-issues-with-Safari-on-Mac-iOS-or-iPadOS

But I'm still having trouble with accessing Lawhub using Google Chrome (which I will be using to take the Flex)...anyone have any suggestions?

I did Powerscore bibles to cover the basics to pull myself from 144-150 range, 7sage CC to get to mid-150's range and when doing drills, I substantiated my studies with the LSAT Trainer chapters on how to approach each question type (how to parse out right answer from the wrong ones) so I could parse out the nuances. I've just incorporated Loophole strategies in LR and I used to get -9~10 per each LR section but now I am hitting ~5~6 per section after pre-phrase method.

To get from high 150's to mid160's I think you need: 1) strong foundations on logic 2) an ability to pre-phrase the argument in your own words and precisely parse out premise and conclusion.

If you are worried about conflicting explanations, I would say the only big difference from PS vs Trainer vs Loophole vs 7sage was whether you should read the Question stem vs Stimulus first and how they grouped different LR Question types but other than that, I didn't find any glaring differences among those study materials!

Hey @

I wanted to cancel my June flex too (in exchange for July flex when it comes) but I don't see an option on my LSAC (View my LSAT registration) page.

How did you cancel it?

@ I have taken the test multiple times, but the LSAT WRITING STATUS AND LAUNCH window says that I should launch a new LSAT Writing test. Does that simply mean I have the option to redo the writing section? Do you know where I can find the status of my writing sample on LSAC?

Hi all!

I just took the exam. My order was RC-LG-LR.

RC: two approaches of formal/substantive law (really hard to understand), paranormal (passage and questions were okay I guess) , Jazz, some polymer thing originally from oyster shells (ran out of time...)

LR: I normally highlight 5-6 questions but this time I circled close to 10...A LOT of weakening questions and I was shook

LG: Pretty standard games, breezed through first three, had 15 minutes left to do the last game

Overall had NO issues with ProctorU and it went really smoothly! I even drafted an email to LSAC in case I ran into technical issues (I was READY for any curveball they threw me) but I was pleasantly surprised.

Proctor was very nice! She was very chill about my camera checks and most importantly, I asked her if she knew that she wasn't supposed to interrupt during the test and she said that she won't so that was a huge relief from the get-go.

Edit: deleted some details about the passage/question in order to abide by the rules

I believe the deadline was 11:59pm June 6th. You have to call/send an email for cancellation with your LSAC Account # to receive a voucher for your next exam (it will show up when you sign up for whichever exam).

Hey OP, could you explain to me what "The Principle of Charity" is? I'm curious to know what that entails.

Hey, I started out with a 146 last year and it took me painstakingly long to reach high 150's and have stayed there for awhile now. I was studying full-time but decided to get a full-time job instead and shift my gears to have a stable income, have a peace of mind (back-up if law school doesn't work out in the next 2-3 years), and have a chance to meet other people. I am slowly starting to pick things up from where I was before and plan on taking it slow from here. Don't rush your process. It's a steady race; run at your own pace!!!

Had I known that I can only extend it monthly at a rate of 24.99, I would have extended another 6 months in anticipation that I won't be able to finish going through the CC again.

I just started a new job and I had to change my study schedule around my full-time job.

This is absolutely not fair and poorly handled. There should have been at least a few months notice before you guys got rid of other extension options.

Totally disappointed at how your "business model" is evolving into something different from what JY first envisioned in the beginning.

E assumes that both outcomes are equally likely. I do not see why that is a fair assumption. It completely ignores another part of the stimulus, which is that the other employees are high ranking. For example, a non-tenured professor and a tenured professor can mess up professionally in the same way, but no one would expect the tenured professors to be punished in the same way as the non-tenured professors, right?
