@hopecuxevaaasso948 SAME OMG - like either that went amazing, or it went truly terrible. im so anxious now
man one section really took me for a ride, but the rest was pretty ok I think - fingers crossed for a decent score
this is the craziest score distribution on a question ive ever seen omfg
the key to eliminating C is the "cars containing antitheft devices" phrase. We have no idea what proportion of cars being stolen had these other devices installed. What if it was literally one car. I feel like C could only work if we were told that in there was a significant proportion of cars with these other devices installed.
this is one of those questions where you realllllyyy have to remember what strengthening means - it does not have to make the question valid (it doesn't even have to be remotely close to valid). I think we tend to look for strong ACs, but in actuality (especially this late in an LR section), we should be more open to the possibility of super weak and subtle strengthening ACs. I find these easier by POE the irrelevant or weakening ACs and choosing whatever is left
7 butts???? buttcheeks to propel around??? TikTah-ah-leek?? bro im crying I cant take this explanation seriously at ALL i love JY sometimes omfg
im actually dead - this is the worst ive ever done on an RC passage ever. like i honestly could have skipped the entire section for the same grade
To me this sounds like more just the psychological side of taking the LSAT - as the day gets closer you're bound to become more stressed and miss questions you ordinarily would get right. I'd recommend making sure to just work on the mental side of the test. So like, daily yoga or meditation, eating well, journaling or reading light material before bed, sleeping early and for at least 8 hours. Things like this can really really help alleviate all the extra stress you may be feeling. I wouldn't change your study habits this close to the date (I'm like you and the thought of not taking PTs stresses me out even more tbh). You're going to kill it, best of luck :)
sometimes its actually astonishing how dumb i can be during testing conditions - tell me WHY i thought "hunger response" meant "feeling full" ..... my god
what tipped me off super quickly in this question were the words "known mine" and "dug from". I figured this must be where the gap is to attack with an AC
any time i see a question about banking/economics/numbers etc, i literally just skip it omfg i haaaaateeee these. no chance on test day id get this right
this is insanely impressive, congratulations!!
Hey there, I am also doing the October test. My idea is that Im gonna PT pretty much every other day until the test. Day before Im just gonna do a big self care day lol (like yoga, eat well, relax, and go to sleep early). My plan for the week before is Im probably gonna do two PTs just to keep my mind sharp and stay on routine so that the day of feels like any other day. From what I've heard from other test takers, the best bet is just to stick to the schedule you have already and treat it like any other PT day :) Best of luck!!
3 weeks still is quite a bit of time to work on LG considering LG is the easiest place to make quick gains - my advice to you would be to drill LG every day that you're not doing a full PT. Like straight up drill like 3 to 5 full sets on those days. Your best bet is to simply foolproof as many games as you can and get more comfortable with making the inferences a lot faster. LG is purely a matter of practice. Best of luck!
The LSAT writers placing THIS at the end of such a nightmare RC section....criminal. This is the worst Ive done on RC since my diagnostic oh my god
E is such a typical panic AC - like you're running through the Acs without fully understanding the stimulus and then you see age and go great, that must be it, moving on - LSAT writers are so mean!!
i feel like covid restrictions influenced my brain on this one lol -- jumping straight to the large gatherings AC ... man
split passages are my actual nightmare oh my god make it STOPPPP
i am in literally the exact same boat as you - same scores, with the same drop in the recent tests. And now Im 3 weeks out from the test and realizing that my scores have been inflated lol. im focusing more on RC now because that seems to be where the biggest change has happened
shouldn't this be an MSS question rather than MBT?? forcing this much assumption kinda kills the validity requirement for MBT questions ...

Thank you both for these replies!! This is such helpful advice, I'm feeling a lot better about all of this hahaha
as a poli sci and environmental studies major who has taken multiple classes on international politics and law.....this question is ASS
ok it seems pretty clear that the Paris RC is the graded one - is anyone else legit panicking now omfg. I like had a full blown meltdown in the middle of the section and now Im like praying for anything over a 158. Honestly that section was bonkers I can't believe they put it FIRST - like we didn't even have time to like get into the groove of the test after the nightmare that was the proctor setup process. I feel like I completely bombed after PTing honestly really high for months. What a mess
