He mentioned this issue in an earlier video (maybe Truth and Validity?)Truth is a property of claims: premises, assumptions, and conclusions. It is not a property of arguments (e.g. other factors making a gov't respond irrationally) BUT validity is a property of arguments. It's okay that a premise or conclusion is false in our world. These exercises are making sure we are able to find VALID arguments, not necessarily TRUTHFUL arguments

Could the last question also be written as:

rights of business conflicts with duty of government → /(successful compromise)

successful compromise → /(rights of business conflicts with duty of government)?
