For SA theres a trick that an element mentioned in c but not p is usually in the correct ac and elements in p but not in c are usually in ac (bc you gotta link these suckers) so I kept that in mind and saw that d is the only one that includes those so I choose it. it doesn't always work but for this one it was a quick way to see the ac without doing all that bs

fuck this question but I guess what helped me is realizing I don't have to totally smash to argument I can weaken it just a little bit. The general principle of overreporting in studys (d) is calling out the weakness so I guess ok fine its right. Shit ass question though in my humble opinion.

I said b bc I thought well yeah no evidence shows that the chimp actually knows wtf its doing and if didn't know and was just guessing than the luck doesn't really support the conclusion.

but luck doesn't change the fact that the chimp did retain more? I'm just stuck bc its shit ass reasoning. now I guess I see that we don't really need to gaf how the chimp did it bc he attained a better return and thats all that is needed to say humans are not better at investing but thats also dumb in my opinion. So I guess it was important to focus on the second part of the 1st sentence and not the first a bit more.

Can someone please smash B for me?

How I understood it wasn't A was when I read it I asked myself why would this make the support stronger and I noticed I had to make a bunch more assumptions for this to be relevant to the conclusion so I moved on. For example if A was true I have to assume its true for this exact ointment right bc AC A isn't saying that its just saying "people" and ointment" but how many people is "people" its too broad and needs too many assumptions.

But lets say it did say most people who use this ointment falsely believe if they use a shit on it'll work more so what? What would they do? The assumption is that they would buy a bunch more ointments. Wanting more product + product on sale = the business would most likely profit from the rebate which is the opposite of what the conclusion is saying.

hope that helps

I got this wrong. I yelled wtf does pollution have to do with fat causing cancer jy!!!

nothing. it has nothing to do with it. and thats when it clicked. its an outside explanation. duhh

I was kicking ass the first half of these and now I'm just brain dead bombing these. It seems like I just forget the strategies. I am forgetting the stuff I need to remember. Going back and jamming these lessons back in my brain.

Goddamn it I questioned b and said "so what" in the jy voice. The past few sets I can see the way my thinking is trying to disprove the conclusion. I just need to weaken the support between the p and c. Maybe I just need a smoke break.

This question is a perfect example of why JY says stick to the text. Fuck what Carl said and fuck if it is not costly or time consuming- we. do. not. care. It doesn't have anything to do with Debbie's argument and it isn't weakening it. For these questions I look strictly at the p and c and anticipate what could weaken it and find something like that in the answer choices. For a second I thought mhm ac C? and then was like nope bc it doesn't have shit to do with Debbies argument. Hope that helps someone

What helped me see that C was wrong was that we didn't learn anything about what happened when the disc got injured. We had no proof it didn't hurt for a day or two and then go away and then chronic pain starts years later. Bc the text never mentioned what happened when the disc became injured I knew this was wrong. Hope that helps

A B and C were too extreme. I thought about picking D but then I was like wait we don't know shit about doctors. JY a few lessons back said stick closely to the text and theres no evidence about doctors predictions. I thought to myself what would this stimulus probably be introducing or supporting and I figured it would be that you could probably avoid the pain if you work out or something and thats what led me to E.

For those who chose E.

The key words are "less efficiently" that is a big red flag!! We don't know from the text if it is less efficient. The ants could have a whole nother trick up their sleeves that makes gathering food more efficient or equally as efficient as using the chemical. If you see those type of detailed/descriptive words or comparative statements enter with caution!! I started keeping this in mind and was able to laugh at E and flick it off as I chose the right answer.
