I think that would be a necessary assumption. That statement is enough to guarantee you being one of the best basketball players in the world (sufficient), but it also must be true for you to even be in consideration (necessary).
For easier questions I would say that this is fine, but its never a bad idea to at least skim through the rest of the stimulus so you're familiar with their reasoning. This might help you identify trick answers more easily.
If you're feeling frustrated by this and the last couple of lessons, don't worry. This stuff is HARD! I have a background in symbolic/formal logic and grammar and working through these translations is still like pulling teeth. I think the best recommendation is to get as many reps in as possible. Go through the Skill Builders earnestly, writing out your answers before checking your work.
If you're still not getting it, supplement your learning by going to Reddit. There's tons of extra examples and tips on there.
I know this is kind of late, but what helps me is taking a few seconds after each paragraph to skim through it and summarize any main points by picking out the most important words. I then do the same thing after the whole passage. Basically the same as the low-res summaries, but I don't worry about creating nice little sentences. They're very abstract and I don't try to make them make sense necessarily.
