after law school for an international

Is it really difficult to get a job at a big firm as an international student from t16?

I got 168 last time and I might still try applying but I am really concerned about the chances of me getting a right position after law school, since it is not just dime and nickels that costs.

I''m not from undergrad in the states nor does I have citizenship.

If anyone has any knowledge about this kinda issues, I'd really appreciate it if you share your opinions.

study plan for a retake #help

Hi

Looking for a kind advice regarding my study plan for a retake.

I am aiming for October one, having approximately 50 days left.

When preparing for June one, score range was 165-169(timed) and today got 178/180(BR) for untimed.

I took all the lessons with some preps I haven't had taken yet. My account gets to prep 72.

Do you recommend an upgrade and take the most recent preps as well?

Any kind advice on how to prepare for a retake would be appreciated.

Does the time for October LSAT vary like July LSAT?

The question is the same? I don't mean the GPA but if some of the courses I took are kinda similar(like,'fundamentals of social sci research' and 'research methods in social science'). Actually those are the courses I am talking about. I worry if they might look the same and the admission office might not admit the credits I got. Anyone who knows about this??

Anxiety: Advice appreciated

I am currently going thru my finals and at the same time having Lsat a week away from now.

This situation prob have triggered something in me. Can’t really concentrate on both.

The prep score was improving right on track but once this whole final began, I seem to be lost a bit.

I got 167, 167, 169 on the last three preps before the final began but once it got started, yesterday I scored 162 with 15 RC wrong and today 165 with 6 RC wrong.

On the last 3preps i got 3 wrong on each RC. Messing up like this a week before the real test is making me feel not really relaxed... Actually it’s making me really worried now.

Good thing is that the final’d be over in 3days.

Would this be a temporary thing which can back to the right track once the final ends?

Wonder if anyone has a similar experience.

Advice or tips from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

I got it wrong cuz of the shift in language from depth of coverage to an appreciation of their significance. Looking back now I see they are things good to be said the same. Feeling silly..

Also, I would go back and document the questions you’re missing. Try to see if there are any patterns like you’re missing a lot of LR weaken questions or running out of time on ordering games. Without any insight into where you’re missing points- it’s kind of hard to give substantive feedback. Give us some examples of questions you missed.

Thanks a lot for your advice! I get 0-1 on LG, 6-9 on 2 LR and 3-9 on RC.

I rarely run out of time on LG and can go around 2 check with it but with LR, always short of around 1-3min and around 1-5min on RC. So I usually end up skimming thru 1 passage on RC. When I do good time management on RC, it is -3 but when I can just skim thru an entire passage, usually end up getting -9. At those times, since I feel time pressure, I cannot really focus on the second last passage as well, so get more wrongs than I usually get.

With BR usual range is 171-178. LG 0, LR 3/6, RC 0/4.

Any tips for from mid160 to 170+?? #help

I am stably getting bet 165-167.

I started prep exactly a month ago, kicking off from 159.

However, never got 170+ in timed set yet.

Are there any tips on getting to 170+ from mid 160??

Think I can literally do anything for that. So desperate.

Also, for those who get 170+, how long did it take for you to get that score from the first prep and from mid160 respectively??

Thank you in advance:)

Yea, what have your previous PT scores have been? It seems if your dissapointed with a 168 youve been scoring higher?

Yup as commented above, usually was in 70s when i was doing pt. I heard many ppl get a bit lower score in real, so i wonder if i can ever get the usual pt score in real if i try once more

Depends on your GPA and everything else in your application. But in theory, you can get into the T14 with a 168 as an international student.

Ur right. Actually that’s the thing. My gpa is not superior. Prob above average or average.

I know people with similar scores who got into t14 schools bud. But it you feel you can do better than I'm not going to dissuade you. What have you been scoring on your PTs?

My best pt score was 178. During the last one month before the test, usually ranged between 171-174,166 was the worst pt score, which i had twice.

Lsat score got released. idk my next step

My lsat score has just got released; 168

I know it is not a poor one but isn't superb either, esp for an international student aiming for t14 like me.

Would u recommend me to take one more or just try with this one?

Need some decent advice

Should I apply?

I got 168 from January and some drops on points from July flex.

I am not really sure if I should apply with this status, or if I should give it one more shot.

I am an international, is there a good chance for an international to get into T14 with 168 and AA?

Great summary! Very helpful. Just wish if there was one more wrap-up for the links, so that I can wrap up here easily instead of clicking thru the link lol
