someone help: I thought the incentive was just a means and not necessary to the purpose. The original purpose is to circulate ideas, and ideas can continue to circulate if a person is dead.

I don't feel like alleviating and overcoming are close enough..one is to make matters better and the latter is eliminating the issue and being past it.
