That's not an "explanation why" as the answer choice states. For example, if someone was questioning why people don't prefer chocolate ice cream if someone countered with people tend to like vanilla more, that would not be an explanation as to why chocolate is not preferred. Its evidence to potentially support the statement but it doesn't explain what about chocolate ice cream leads people to not prefer it. Introduction of new evidence =/ explanation. Idk if that was more confusing but that's how I saw it lol

I got into the habit of reading how he reads it. Reading the sentence, fully understanding what that one sentence means, and its place within the paragraph then moving along to the next sentence and repeating the process. If I don't fully understand the sentence I read it again. At first, I was just reading the paragraph in one take and I was missing details and not fully comprehending what the argument was. It sounds time-consuming but the more you do it the more it becomes second nature.

In the first paragraph toward the end, the Author narrows the scope of the passage to just England (line 10-13). So after that any point can only be looked at from the POV that it's specific to England. So later on in the passage, when the author says "in England" it reminds the reader of this distinction and tells them that this phenomenon happens in other places outside of England as well. Why else make the distinction if it was already covered that the information being spoken on was already England-specific. At least that was my thinking lol definitely might be flawed

I got 23 wrong because I thought "term length" meant how long the average teacher stayed on staff and was speaking on continuity within schools lol

For #14 I got rid of D and E for the same reasons. I got rid of A because untrue seemed too strong. The author said the other theory was more likely, they never said one was true or untrue. This left me with B and C and I quickly got rid of B because like the video says the passage never mentioned modern-day society.

idk if its weird to say but had they outright said "which one of these answer choices must be false" I would've definitely had a better chance at getting the Q, good to know that this question wording means MBF
