I got this one wrong bc I didn't read that it was supposed to be finding an AC that best support's the airport's reasoning lol
Premise given: Male grouses inflate their airsacs during mating ritual with female grouses
Conclusion: female grouses use this courtship ritual as a way to determine if a male grouse is healthy or not.
missing premise/assumption: The physical appearance of male grouse airsacs help determine if they are healthy or not.
D is the best answer, as it hits on this premise that male grouse airsacs= indicators of health level.
I made my own diagram too for this question but chose B instead of D because I confused in my head "more food" with "more variety" of food. But just because they are eating more varied food, that doesn't mean they are eating more food to keep the percentage of fat in their diet the same overtime.
Example:
if you eat 20% fat, and eat 40% veggies and 40% fruits, in year one
30% fat, 20% veggies, 10%legumes 20% fruits, in year two,
40% fat,10% veggies, 10% legumes, 10% fruits, 30%grains, in year 3
It doesn't matter if you eat more variety foods, the fat percentage still is increasing each year. For the fat percentage to stay the same, you would HAVE to eat more foods (whether its variety or not) to make the percentage of fat stay the same.
damn so I really can't get my way around learning Lawgic lol I hate it so much
wow this got me messed up again! I made a hidden inference with answer E, thinking that not using pheromones means the ants would do something more efficient even though the stimulus doesn't give us any indication of this. I'm irritated lol
I always have a hard time making sure my answer choice's subject matter is consistent with the specific subject matter in the stimulus. I chose C originally, but can see now it is false because it talks about "any event" , which does not align with the stimulus which talks about events that only have conflicting usual sources. Although C could include events that have conflicting sources, it also includes events that have one specific source only. Thus, why B is correct and not C.
This question hecka tripped me up because the last sentence threw me off. Now I understand that because the current population barely meets the PREVIOUS estimate for the size that the population would need to be in order to survive a natural disaster, it would not be able to survive at all now because that number is significantly lower than the actual number needed to survive a natural disaster. The last sentence helps provide additional context as well to show that the population number will not be growing in the future because there is not enough grasslands to support an increase, making D the best answer.
I'll send you all a message! Thinking of doing a few nights a week on zoom
I flipped them and got D instead of B ugh
the referential phrasing got me messed up!
got this right in blind review- these are so hard when you are under time constraint and testing stress!
I misinterpreted this as a NA question which is why I believe I got it wrong. In MSS the question stimulus gives you a set of premises and you find the conclusion in the answer choices. I originally chose A, but that is a conclusion that does not have evidence given the stimulus. Upon doing it again, I chose D, because it is the MSS answer choice based on the stimulus.
