I look forward to these freeway updates under every SA video
I'm in the same boat currently, ran into this problem two months ago as well. Seconding another comment, my best advice is to take a break. I completely understand that it feels like time wasted with the test coming around the corner, but it truly helps to give your brain some time to absorb the information you are studying before improving. Engage in some physical activity, watch netflix, see your friends, do whatever will help to take your mind off the test for a few days and return to the test with a fresher mind.
this genuinely ruined my entire week
I felt the same way lol. But if you click "quick view" at the top it shows the question with all the answer choices so you can try it out before playing the video.
I cover the part of my screen with the correct answer and try doing it myself before playing the video. Even if I get the answer correct, I skip to the explanations of the video of each answer choice that I had second-guessed or doubted myself on even at the slightest.
Our conclusion here is that the results of DNA testing of Neanderthals shows that Homo sapiens (ancestors of modern humans) did not interbreed with Neanderthals. They back up this claim with the fact that the DNA of modern humans is significantly different from the Neanderthals.
From here, you should ask yourself "ok...but what about the homo sapiens' DNA?" Yes, homo sapiens are the ancestors of modern humans but that doesn't mean they'll have similar enough DNA to modern humans for us to make a valid analogy. Since the author assumes this, our job here is to find an answer that actualizes this assumption so their argument doesn't fall apart (i.e., it is NECESSARY).
C validates this analogy by stating that the significant genetic difference between modern humans and Neanderthals and homo sapiens and neanderthals are comparable. I thought of this question as a "controlled" experiment almost, where in order to make a valid comparison, we need to make sure that all other "variables" (in this case, genetic differences) are controlled for.
I agree, especially because we shouldn't anticipate answer choices for strengthen/weaken questions. I want to see all the options so I can do POE :/
For Jo's rule to apply, someone has to be the MOST productive. The only answer choice that has this is D, where Yolanda is the most productive. However, there is a violation of Jo's rule because she's assigned to the same workstation as someone else.
Hi there! I experienced this pretty recently as well, so I hope it helps to know you are not alone in facing this (it really ruined my mood that day haha). This may sound counterintuitive but sometimes stepping away from the test is SO necessary, I can't emphasize this enough. Yes, it may feel like time wasted because you aren't studying. But trust me when I say that all of my plateaus and periods of consistently making seemingly silly mistakes were overcome by not thinking about the test! I know taking prolonged breaks isn't feasible for everyone, but even a day or two off will only benefit you when you come back with a fresh mind.
