This is not "lawgic"; it's sentential logic. Sentential logic is very helpful in philosophy when discussing the bones of argumentation. There are plenty of resources that will teach you about it without coining it as something it's not.

-- If you cannot find a premise/conclusion (an actual argument), look for background information+observation (however BI and O does not constitute an argument). This merely acts as a way to study a passage from an alternative perspective.

-- If your gut tells you there is not argument being made, then go with it!
