@KevinLin Makes sense now. i think that coming off of the referential phrases lessons, i initially was overthinking the "in that case". trying to make it refer to the whole thing-- "If the price it pays for coffee beans continues to increase, the Coffee Shoppe will have to increase its prices." thanks for your help! also moving on to the next lessons, then coming back to this, i couldnt even remember why i initially had a question. then i re-read my question and realized i was over thinking the referential phrases lessons. ty!
Question 3- first conditional. why is it not "if you can lift it, then you are pure of heart." instead of "if pure heart, then can lift" isn't pure heart necessary to lift?
Can someone please help explain why the referential phrase, "in that case," refers to "the Coffee Shoppe will have to increase its prices", only and not the whole sentence, "If the price it pays for coffee beans continues to increase, the Coffee Shoppe will have to increase its prices."?
Why is "Each of the many people" read as the group 1 quantifier "each" instead of "many"?
