Need encouragement

Has anyone else been really discouraged by their inability to figure out this test?

Please give me some stories of what it was like when you weren’t so good and what changed and what it’s like now!

I had a really frustrating experience. I was working for probably 15+ minutes on a grouping games with chart problem set in the CC. I was really struggling, couldn’t figure it out, couldn’t make any inferences.

My roommate who has never seen an LSAT question in his life was interested in what I was doing and I gave him a copy of it and told him I was struggling. He figured it out in under 10 minutes.

This really hit me disproportionately hard.

Thank you, I restarted and it's all back to normal. I suffered through two days thinking this had changed. That was totally unnecessary

I was contemplating buying the next version up since it was really affecting my ability to take good notes. Always restart first!

Recently hit a personal best of 167 with -5 on logic games.

-5 doesn’t sound great, but I’m used to getting -8 or -10 (started at -12/-14 when I began foolproofing)

So this is a huge improvement for the work in foolproofing is paying off!

Starter Changes

Was access to certain features recently changed in Starter?

I no longer have the check marks next to items I have completed, nor do I have the option to have the side by side view of notes and video.

This is kind of a bummer.

Answer choice 1 is sufficient not necessary.

It is too strong. It doesn’t have to be that ALL As are Bs, just that some A’s are B’s for the argument to potentially work. The negation of AC1 allows for some effective approaches to be fun, so negating AC1 doesn’t destroy the argument.

Answer choice 2 is necessary because the negation of some is none. If no effective approaches are fun, the argument doesn’t work

@

Yah my roommate is a computer science guy works at a software company so I’m sure he’s got a lot of experience with formal logic.

After he looked at it he literally said “I love these things! Can I write on this?!”

So yes he is one of those twisted people

Thanks guys! Really kept me encouraged to not give up today.

@ I’ve been studying for a couple months, I work full time. I’m still going through the core curriculum. Thanks for the perspective, it helps.

After work today I sat down with the same two games from the problem set, they still took me a long time but I figured them both out without watching the videos, it was a big boost to my morale.

Obviously need to improve but realize I have plenty of time and it feels good to know that I figured these games out!

Thanks again!
