😖 Frustrated

Are older tests (e.g 117) as indicative of 2026 tests?

I just took PT117 and did absolutely HORRIBLE as in 6 points less than my average .... Is it just me or was the vocabulary so much harder in LR compared to the newer tests aka 140s and above? I guess my question is are the newer tests better indications of what tests in 2026 will look like or are the older tests equally as indicative?

@Adam I appreciate that! Perhaps i'll do targeted drills towards those weaknesses, since I tend to get bogged down by level 5 questions when I can't tell whether its a level 5/ I think I can do it but end up getting it wrong on my timed attempt. Thanks so much!!

🙃 Confused

Need help fixing timing!

Hi! For RC and LR, i'm having a hard time bridging the gap between my timed score and BR score. For context, my goal score is low 160s-mid 160s, and I've increased my score ~15 points since my diagnostic in late May. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice and whether you guys think it's possible to hit my goal by September test date? Thanks in advance and have a good night! :)

@PhoebeHopp Thank you so much! I'll use this approach for LR, however, would the same apply for RC? I feel like I struggle a lot on RC with timing, but most especially with science passages

@Sunnyside Thank you!! I'll try this as opposed to just reading why the answer is right :)

Help breaking into 160s!

Hi! I'm scheduled to take the September test, and i'm currently just beginning timed practice (1 section a day, alternating days between LR and RC + blind review + reviewing wrong answers). I'm scoring in the low 150s with the timer and high 150s to 162 with BR - for both LR and RC. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice to break into the 160s, and whether i have enough time to get to a 160 by September?
