With answer choice D, it says "the only way to...continued" but has nothing in it about the timeframe. The entire stim was set in the "near future" and the correct answer choice seems to make a statement about an indefinite amount of time. Perhaps in 20000 years, we find a way to determine the existence of aliens with some other technology. That would made the correct answer false and is not negated in any of the premises. If someone can explain, that would be great!

Another question 11 question! So it seems like here we are determining our answers by starting in the middle of a chain (/R) and then going back (S → /A) to determine our answers. I thought that we can not make conclusions based on going back in conditional chaining?
