@CarlosHernandez03 I didnt read it since i re-read it on the last YouTry but I would if I had started studying for the day
This question felt so obvious so quickly that I double guessed myself because I didnt think it could be that easy...ughh
This section is on the harder side of concepts we've learned but I'm trying to be so positive about all the little (and big) wins--when those happen. Right now, I'm stoked that I really understood the power of "unlikely" in this drill during my analysis and the role it plays in figuring it out. Double guessed myself and picked D first, but it's so great to know that my brain is ACTUALLY getting it. Now, I just need to trust my gut.
@Shannell_E'llan Always. I usually just speed it up to 1.5 or 1.7 if i felt i really understood the question. I like hearing detailed rationale for why the other answers are wrong because sometimes I get additional tips and insights I didn't catch on my own.
Was stuck between E and A. Didn't pick A at first because the answer choice says "Humans should not intervene..." "Should not" made me doubt it was right. I would've picked it immediately if it said "humans should intervene..."
@MatthewGhebredingle Give yourself some grace. You are not dumb, you are learning.
When I read the sentence and also watched the video - explanation says "must" is the necessary indicator word - I actually felt that "ensure" in the context as a whole was a bigger/better Group 2 indicator word and went with that. The split between the two concepts into suff. / necessary then felt more natural for me. Ex. All self driving cars must be programmed. WHY? To ensure these 2 things, etc. But it did take looking at the big picture get that diagram.
Woah! This question took me soooo long (21.49 to be exact) but I made sure to stick with it and actually try to diagram. Gonna write out my diagramming process for future reference.
First diagram wasn't ideal, but it helped me see a pattern. IE:
1. Banker -> Athlete
2. Lawyer -> /Banker
The pattern I saw was that the Banker was on opposites AND contrapositives of each other (those two things are necessary in order for this to work), which we've learned means that its the connector of the full diagram. Adding the updated visual second diagram.
Lawyer ->/banker
banker -> athlete
This is where I saw the sufficiency and necessity roles.
Then I did the contrapositive of the full statement which literally gave me the right answer, as in like, I saw the exact answer choice.
`1. /athlete -> /banker -> /lawyer
Ughh, that was glorious. I'm not even mad at the time it took.
