when i was taking this PT yesterday i spent all of my remaining time in this section puzzling over this question, decided it was one of the hardest LR questions i've ever seen, and picked C because i thought maybe since the question is so over my head i might as well go with the answer choice that seemingly has nothing to do with anything, because it might've been the case I was just missing some subtle implication. i even confidently eliminated E because of this assumption everyone's hung up on. questions and answer choices haven't been this ambiguously worded since the earliest PTs. FRUSTRATING.
yeah after looking at this for a while I've realized we don't really care why the birds stopped nesting in the orchard. a hypothesis is given, but it's really just a red herring; the pertinent information is that the birds HAVE IN FACT stopped nesting there. that's just a factual premise. so we may not be able to pin down the WHY of the loss of nesting area, but we do know for a fact that that loss has occurred, so ultimately we should just disregard questions of "why" altogether. I think this was a really tricky distraction for them to place in the stimulus!

Am I just dumb for thinking that "handling charge" was a contradiction of the premise about Activite being "free"? idk, i see "free" and i think, well, "free."
I'm also having problems with the difficulty filter for LR problem sets.
