How is having selfish motivations a deterrence from the public purposes that institutions aim to achieve? Because if one does something for money but is still ultimately benefitting the whole, they are selfish but also possessing the "property" of helping to achieve the public purpose. I personally got caught up on this because I interpreted the text differently.
I also ruled it out because it felt like "all" was a huge generalization.
I got A when I first read over and just wanted to be sure my reasoning was correct so I read the written break down of this question. I could be very wrong but I believe that question A is anti-supported because the passage simply did not discuss viewership in other countries for broadcast networking. The written explanation does not follow what was said in the video.
Yes! There is no argument being made. If you felt confused as to what exactly the conclusion was and what was the point, that was probably why.
Sorry I am just confused on was the geologist's argument not the conclusion, making the point that deep carbon deposits were not what allowed petroleum to form? I assumed that was their position and it is why I struggled on this question because D would have obviously strengthened it.
