Can any International student, share his/her experience of going through WES evaluation. I have heard stories of WES dropping down the CGPA by a great margin. I have got 82 percent in my undergraduation, any guess on what would the GPA look like on 4.0 scale?

The reasoning in the argument goes as follows
Context- Reason for the town to have restrictive ordinance arrow to protect children from danger
Conclusion- Skateboarding in riverpark is indeed dangerous, but still we should not pass ordinance prohibiting it.
Why?
Premise- If children cannot skateboard in the park then they will skateboard on the streets. And skateboarding on the streets is more dangerous.
Reasoning pattern- Comparison of two things. And then finally choosing the less dangerous one. And this is what answer choice B is doing
The right answer does not have to be matched word to word with the stimulus. You have to identify the gist of what the stimulus is saying, find the pattern and try to match it with the answer choices.
As more you get familiar with the concepts and pattern the faster you will be getting. So what may seem a speed issue now may be actually an incomplete understanding of the test. So just keep practicing and learning, speed will increase eventually.
Contact LSAC with your problem and they might accept electronic copy provisionally.
The scores for candidates who have an approved LSAT writing sample on file will be released one day earlier than was originally announced. Scores will now be released on 9 a.m. ET on Wednesday, June 30, 2021.
So for those who do not have a writing sample on file, complete it as soon as possible to see the scores on time.
Hello!
I am a 170+ test scorer. Gave the April test and hoping for the same result. However, my end goal is to get a 175+ for which I would be attempting the June test too. Now at this stage where I feel I have kinda understood the test, I believe my knowledge and experience could benefit others through tutoring sessions and help me stay focussed too.
I am organising a boot camp for the June test for which I am finding 5 serious individuals who could devote 1-2 hours, five days a week. Sessions would be held in a group and through discord. Interested peeps could send me a private message.
Usually only the final score is reported. However, there are some disclosed test on which section wise score is also reported. I believe the August test was a non disclosed one so only your final score, percentile and score band will be reported.
It is just a tool to practise. The goal is that, at the time of the actual test day, you don't really feel the need to write the summaries down as they should come inherently to you.
There is no such deadline for the the writing sample. So don't worry about that. Try to contact the LSAc authorities, they are usually very responsive.
Premise- Yet the police are still writing as many speeding tickets as ever.
Conclusion- Therefore, the excuse about resources being tied up in fighting drug-related crime simply is not true.
Now for assumption questions, generally, the right answer links the premise with the conclusion. So the gap here is-
If the police is writing as many speeding tickets as before then they could not have diverted the resources.
And answer choice, E gets closest to our pre phase and is indeed the correct answer. In order for me to help you better please share the answer choice you chose and reasoning behind it.
I have seen users on this forum with a sage title or a star . So what is the criteria to get either of two?
I have messaged you. Kindly check your dm.
If your stats stats are good enough to land you at HYS then I beleive, they would be good enough to get you around 50 percent of the scholarshp from the rest of T14s. So if high debt makes you feel stressed then go for the lower T14s. You would be having much more freedom. And in this argument I am assuming that you would be getting an LSAT score of 174 plus.
I guess most of the test takers give their test on such a laptop only. And one do have to pick it up to circle it 360 degrees to show the four walls and also have to show the area under the table on which you would be giving the test. You also have to show your keyboard for which you can keep a mirror with you so that the reflection in the mirror could capture your keyboard.
Everyone has to do it same time????
You would be alone with your proctor, there will be no other test taker with you on the call.
For the exam, there will be a live person responsible for checking all the stuff. However, for the writing section there will be no live human proctor.
Also don't stress too much about it. The process is pretty simple and LSAC is very responsive to any problem or query you may face. They also have a rescheduling facility available, by which you could take the exam, just a week later in case of any technical difficulties. So relax and all the best.
You are going great. Just try to do both the pts at the same time at which your actual exam is scheduled. And do it in a strict timed manner without cutting any corners. All the best!
Hey, I have been interested in teaching other aspirants which in turn could be helpful for both. I am currently Pting around 165-166 and would love work with people who have trouble breaking into160s and who feels this could be mutually beneficial.
Would be interesting in Br-ing around 2 to three preptests a week.
Thanks
Mine was really similar to the 80s one. It's generally advisable to focus on more recent pts when your actual exam is near. I too followed that and I believe, it did helped me.
Don't fixate on any one PT. There could be several reasons for your score to go down or maybe that PT was a very hard one. At least do 3 more pts and then analyze the trend.
MBT and MSS questions are very similar. In fact powerscore bible terms MSS questions as a part of MBT questions only. And practically too there isn't much difference. So what I would recommend you to do is to try to infer the conclusion from the stimulus before moving towards the answer choices. And in most of the MSS questions you would be able to do that.
For eg
If the premise says
A arrow B arrow C
Now you should be making the inference of A arrowC before moving towards the answer choices.
Hope this helps.
Personally, I did timed PTs every alternate day, a week before my actual exam. And I also practised some questions half an hour before the actual exam (This prevented me from wasting time on the first section. As because of the stress on the day of the exam, applicants tend to go blank at the beginning of the first section, and it usually takes 5 to 6 minutes to get back focus. However, everyone is different, so what worked for me might not work for you. Assess your own strength/weakness and follow any advice accordingly.)
All the best!
You would be accessing it on the Lawhub website itself. There would be a "Lsat flex" icon visible just above the library icon on your test day.
Yes, you do have few fays after the test to complete it. But don't take more than a week after the test to complete it as otherwise your score might get delayed.
Of-course. I mean you won't be really able to answer at-least half of the lLR questions without identifying the premise/conclusion. And with RC, low -res summaries really helped me in improving my score. You could still skip making low-res summaries and follow your own method. But identifying premise/conclusion are an absolute must.
I didn't moved any furniture. But I just covered the television with a piece of cloth. There is nothing to worry about, just chose one that provides a good wifi.
If the soil nutrients are completed depleted then
Additional crops can be grown arrow fertilizer applied to the soil.
This should work well. The first situation is kinda introducing a sub world. You don't need to include all three statements in one diagram.
Personally, I used to avoid splitting the game which had only five questions on it and was numbered 1 or 2. As generally the first two games are very much easier as compared to the latter ones. This really helped me to save time and eventually get a minus zero. But of course this is not a hard and fast rule, different situations would demand for a different approach. Another thing that really helped me was to redo the same games in which I faced some difficulties at least two times. This really helps one to recognise the patterns and eventually makes one faster in solving these questions.
Here. the conclusion in the argument is " The nations, national saving will decrease if the average age of population continues to rise. And the support give for this is "Older people have fewer reasons to save than younger people."
But this does not means that older people will be saving less or the younger will be saving more. Right. Older people would be having fewer reasons to save but that reason could be big enough to save a hello lot of money for lets say retirement plan.
So in most of the questions it is the assumption, the missing gap that you would have to figure out in order to get to the right answer. So always try to predict.
Answer choice A- The reasons that younger people have for saving money are irrelevant to are argument. So the stimulus lacking those reasons wouldn't be the flaw. Right. As it is simply irrelevant.
Answer choice D- This is exactly what the error is in the reasoning. Even if the older people have fewer reasons to save, their reasons could be much more important which could require a large amount of savings. Thus requiring them to save more. Could still save more than the young ones.
Trust the process, you will surely get there. This test does takes time and the more you practise, analyse, the better you will become. You will soon start recognising the incurring patterns which help you to solve the harder questions under time pressure.
All the best
I would be answering your questions from my personal experience.
For me it took around 1 week to get it approved. However, some of my friends got their writing section flagged. Hence it took them more than 3 weeks.
I took the writing sample after a week of my June exam and my score didn't got delayed. So I guess 6 to 8 days should be fine. However, you should be careful enough to not to do anything wrong that could get your section flagged. As then your score will probably get delayed.
I would also recommend you to first focus on giving the lsat and direct your efforts to get a good score and then get your writing portion sorted.
Honestly, as an International student who was very unfamiliar with the LSAT and had never given such entrance test in past (in my country entrance test are more memory based) 7sage really helped me in my journey to get a 171. And even for someone who does not earn in dollars, it was very much affordable too.
