IDK much about admissions but does UC Berkeley average scores or take highest? Maybe you could get in with a 171. Would you get burnt out if you took it again? Would you want to take it again regardless if that meant more scholarship funds?

A good compromise would be to create a new "tier" of user - perhaps something like a "legacy" or "alumni" user for users whose subscriptions have lapsed. I doubt spammers would fall into the Legacy category. Either way it won't be the end of the world if I'm not able to post here anymore.

I haven't noticed any spam personally but that's not to say it's not a problem. I like to think I have something to contribute, here and there, despite that my LSAT studies have concluded and I no longer have a 7Sage subscription.

Conditions - Am I Understanding This?

-so if you fail a sufficient condition, the rule "goes away" ?

-but if you satisfy a necessary condition, the rule also "goes away" ?

-you would not want to rely on a contrapositive of any of these rules in these two situations above?

Was wondering that myself as well but I assumed not because perhaps it would be considered an electronic devise.

I don't have a 7Sage subscription, so I can't link directly, but if you click here https://classic.7sage.com/progress/ and search "substitution" it came up with some videos. Hope that helps. Also make sure you aren't neglecting any of the 7Sage interface. I mean, input answers from your practice tests and then there should be a button next to each question, on the review section, that will give your practice questions of a similar type. I might be mistaken but just wanted to reply since no one else was. Maybe someone else can correct me if I'm wrong.

@ Personally I think the test will be MORE DIFFICULT without logic games. I see logic games as a break from reading - it "exercises" different parts of your brain while giving your reading parts a break. If your study schedule allows and if the sign up is open of course, I would sign up for the LG LSAT immediately!

@ In other words the raw scores could be a lot lower but the LSAC will still scale the percentile score to the same on the 120-180 scale (https://www.lsac.org/lsat/lsat-scoring). The mean is rumored to be set to 150-152 on most tests.

This explains what a bell curve is:

Long discussion on Discord voice calls helped me improve. I mean LONG! lol like we would spend 20-30 mins on a question really verbally taking it apart and putting it back together again. Sometimes even using diagrams or logical notation. These discussions seemed like a waste of time at first but personally I felt it made me gain a few points. BTW - I was discussing with students scoring significantly higher than me. Perhaps that really leveraged my gains being the lowest scoring on in the group. Surprisingly I would often help the higher scorers understand questions just as they did help me.

Hey sara.thabet99,

I'm not an expert but in a similar situation to you. I don't think having employment gap will really matter to admissions because law school is an academic endeavor. Maybe it will indicate you won't stick through the three years of law school at worst? I don't think it will matter. I'm sure they admit a lot of students that never had a job.

Perhaps really do the addendum if you want but worried it will draw more attention to your employment gap, but if that's what you really want to do then do it!

Me personally, I just took some undergrad science classes once I quit and will mention that if it comes up.

Curious what you or anyone else thinks further on this topic.

I did practice tests then used the 7Sage interface to focus in on question types I did poorly on. I also did the curriculum alongside all that.

I'm glad there were LG on my test, at least as a break from so much reading haha. Though I would say there were a few odd bones on there. Not sure how much detail we're allowed to get into from the LSAC.

The test is meant to beat you up just hang in there! Your primary goal should be to keep your morale up at this point, it sounds like. Follow 7Sage curriculum everyday even if it's just a few minutes. I saw 10 point increase in my score by doing this. There can always be noise outside. Plus power, internet outages, and interruptions by proctors. As far as motivation, law schools really do care about your LSAT score.

As far as test disruptions, I voted no because I feel like disruptions naturally occur for me enough. Maybe in your personal situation it might help though IDK your test taking environment.

Do you know how you fare on timed tests toward the end of sections? Are you stronger at the beginning of sections?

151 is about the middle of the bell curve for the LSAT. So I think of that as the most common score. Once you start going above 151, the returns won't be as easy as they were as you worked your way up the bell curve. Breaking above 151 will require even more and more questions answered correctly. But enough about the score, perhaps just try to relax and focus on performing on the test and getting as many questions right as possible. With that being said you still will get dozens and dozens of questions wrong for your score range. So you need to be prepared to take the emotional thrashing. Also maybe look into time saving techniques. Maybe just push your schedule back and give your self more time.

discussing LR questions in detail on voice calls, sometimes spending 30+ mins on a question, helped me. also some questions diagrams can really help. hope that helps you. but I got to commend your 10-months getting beat up by this test. wow! my spirit could not take it.

There is some way to print on 7Sage but I'm not sure how. However I didn't put much effort into figuring it out because I am taking the test online. So I figured get used to looking at it on screen to simulate the exam. I think we're allowed 5 sheets of paper for the online LSAT Flex?

I think

I --> /G or /S

is right.

Maybe think about like a more real situation. Perhaps,

"If the sun is down, then I'm tired and hungry"

SD -> T and H

"If i'm not tired nor hungry, then the sun is not down"

/T or /H -> /SD

So if either one of the necessary conditions is broken, then it's impossible for the sun to be up? Correct me if I'm wrong but it kinda makes sense when you think of it like that. Feel free to critique or correct me.

That's good for you. I'm doing Aug as well. I did a more recent game from 92 (the one about vetch) and it threw me off a bit. So they seem a bit different. On the other hand, some games seem totally similar. So, I'm not an expert, but it seems is varies based on the individual game. Let's hope we get a good set on the 12th hehe.

Call admissions of your top schools and ask if they average or take highest.

If you can show improvement in Oct, that would look good on you I think?

What is the score you 'want' for admissions/scholarships?

I think the test is meant to make you feel this way. I was beat up for it by awhile and felt defeated, took a break for years and came back and did it.

My suggestions:

keep emotional fortitude and acknowledge that this test is designed to f*** with you.

throw your time table out the window. this is about your growth, not fitting with the constraints of an arbitrary time table.

stop trying to learn it all at once, just focus on 1 point increase, or even 1 question increase at first.

keep your goals and efforts on the LSAT secret because a lot tend to tear it down, especially when you are still not able to be strong with #1 on this list.

also make sure you are taking full advantage of the 7Sage curriculum and inputting your test answers into the 7Sage UI so it can analyze what types you need to practice.

Use Khan Academy until you memorize all those answers if you can't afford 7Sage, then buy 7Sage once you've exhausted Khan.

Confirm action

Are you sure?
