Anyone in Mtl looking to study outside of quebec / McGill? Studying for the LSAT and would love to connect and work with local people. I'm 21 and currently doing my undergrad at UofMontreal in Criminology.

i didn't know what a gov. by refferendum was and it sent me spiralling
The time is the issue for me in 99% of these questions, if it doesnt fix itself im finna go brazington
I get the points right but it takes me way too much time.
i laughed
Hey Elise,
Seems like we are kinda in the same scenario. I find myself taking more time to answer the question. In turn, I end up getting it right. When I really wanna focus on an extremely thorough explanation (like JY gives in the videos), i'll end up taking more time to fully get the scope of what I am doing.
Depending on when you're doing the test, this reality might not be the same for you, but I am fine with taking a bit more time in the beggining, to cement the notions in my mind and understand why I am doing what I am doing. As JY said in the beggining, the goal is to build up a competent intuition regarding the questions.
Also, if you'd like, there's a discord made by people in the approx. region that we are at right now that i recently joined : https://discord.gg/67nqYY5c.
Ciao!
Hi, i have a question. I find that most of the exercises are really time constraints for me. This one took me 9 minutes. I got it right, but.. after 9 minutes. I started studying about 6 days ago, and was wondering when should I start really focusing on my time? I am taking the LSAT in Febuary 2025. (currently am not in university, startign back up in september!)
Charles is getting 48 months in federal prison
If this can help, about 30% of the LSAT is this. Being able to look at arguments and efficiently figure out what it is saying and then looking at the exam and decoding the answers. A friend of mine did the LSAT and said this is how it is built.
Just remember the symbols will vary but this is what I wrote.
Domain : when knowledge of the existence of a part. fact is element of offense
Rule : aware of high prob. of existence → established
Exception : /believe existence
In my head, it's super clear, but I know it may not be for everyone! At the end of the day, these methods are so you can decomplexify language. If it complicated it more for you, don't use it. However, I must say that many of the methods are not useful until you are confronted with a particular situation and you realize that it is!
No offense at all, but how do you guys find that it is terribly organized? I feel like it's as clear as it could be. (No hate)
What is the difference between a Sub-conclusion and a Major premise? I know one is stronger than the other but are there specific rules or elements that define it?
(Essentially, why Major Premise and not like Sub-Conclusion + 1)
Hi, I think we are in a similar boat. Only thing is I have to do the LSAT, and will be doing it in a while. But am international, looking to apply to T14 (im canadian)
