Thank you nye8879. So basically it wouldn't matter which one came first, aesthic value and obejectviley discussed because we have to link them up regardless?

PT. 55 S3 Q24

This is a necessary assumption question. I correctly identified what is the premise ( aesthic value --> possible for at least two readers to agree on the interpretation) and the conclusion ( objective evaluation of a poem is possible -> popular belief is false). I realized the gap immediately but still had an issue with the correct answer.

I see how the contrapositive of (D) would make it necessary for the conclusion but at first glance I thought it was a possible mistaken reversal. I assumed it would be aesthic value -> objective evaluation. Can someone please explain how to better approach NA questions when they play on conditional logic and a possible rule of thumb. Perhaps a better illustration of the conditional logic chain would help in absolute terms (ex. A -> B -> C etc.) Thanks!

Also! Does anyone know of any professional help to assist with law school applications?

Applications!

Is anyone applying to a law school that allows you to add an optional essay in regards to certain fellowships they may offer? (Aka financial aid)

If so... Do you have any advice as to what to include in the essay? I'm not generally interested in the fellowship, but I am interested in the financial help.... At a crossroads!

Example of "fellowships" - working at the law library, special education advocacy clinic, public service admissions ambassadors etc.

Thanks for the help friends!

This was amazing! Thank you, I see it completely now definitely need to keep in mind the concept of time in the stimulus @.jason35

This question went completely over my head and I still don't understand why the correct answer is (C) for all the tea in China. If someone could please explain this question it would be greatly appreciated!

Perhaps some insight to these questions in general. These use to be my best question types until I hit PTs in the 70s...

Thanks!

Job prospects for graduates with chemistry degrees are better than ever, yet ***

Hi everyone! If anyone has some better insight as to why (E) is the correct answer I would greatly appreciate it! I see why (E) would be the right answer but I also believe (C) could be a correct answer. The only issue with (C) that I do see is possibly the word "many" but that's about it.

I recognize the phenomenon begging for the explanation would be the fact that even though the number of students who enter as chemistry majors and the job prospects but number of people earning chemistry degrees has declined.

Thanks again!

PT.51 S1 Q8

How is is C the correct answer... I'm not seeing the connection. Someone please help!

The conclusion is "we can now dismiss the widely held suspicion that sugar consumption often exacerbates hyperactivity in children with attention deficit disorder". The supporting premises are the results of the study and it concludes that there was no significant difference between the experimental groups (received a type of sugar) and control (sugar substitute).

How does (C) weaken the support of anything I assumed it would strengthen the conclusion. (C) states that the consumption of some sugar substitutes exacerbates the symptoms of hyperactivity. I immediately thought this was irrelevant because a sugar substitute is not sugar... I don't see how this would weaken the support.

Kmojorelli, the issue is I only have the intro course and not really in the financial position to get the ultimate course unfortunately. So I kinda have to work with what I have and search the Internet for answers when u don't understand something. But you're right about me going over in my head the incorrect answers I'm going to start writing out the reasons for each answer choice and see if that helps. Thanks!

Sheri, I think my problem is exactly that. After I BR I see why the correct answer is true but I guess I self consciously don't go through my mental process as to how I would get there. I'm going to start BR with a clean copy and see what I can do! Thank you for responding!

Can someone please guide me....

I'm now considering postponing my test until February but still applying for the Fall 2016 cycle with the score I have until I the other score. My issue with postponing the exam is I don't have a plan of what I need to start doing differently in order to see results... I've been at the same score 151 roughly even after finish the 7sage course. What can I do to ensure that it will go up? I've been at a 151 since April... And seen no sign of improvement. My weakest section is LR I'm averaging -11 -12 per section. Someone please help! I've messaged 7sage tutors and have yet to get a response. Should I just take the exam and be done with it? I feel hopeless at this point.

Pritisharma,

Have you watched the 7sage video Jy has on how to BR? You should be circling the questions you are unsure about as you're taking the test and have a clean copy of the test to revisit those specific questions.

What I have found that has brought my score up about 20 points is when I BR for LR even if in my mind I can quickly brush over and know why an answer choice is wrong I still write out an explanation for each answer choice. By doing this you subconsciously get accustomed to what the questions are looking for and trains you to always be on the look out for those trap answer choices. When you actually miss question in LR I find it best to first identify what type of question type it is, and identify the components of the argument (premise/conclusion/principle) and then follow through with explanations for each answer choice.

As far as games I completely redo the game and if I still miss questions after BR I watch the video and print out about 5 clean copies of the game and PRACTICE until I don't get any wrong.

Reading comprehension may be the hardest (for me) to BR but usually I take apart every paragraph, identify the main points in each and then revisit the questions.

Hope this was helpful! Best of luck!

Reading Comprehension crushing my soul

If anyone has any advice on how to better focus myself or tips on what to look for when approaching a reading passage please share! I'm finally in the 160 range after starting at a 142 and I'm still missing 10 to 12 on reading... It's KILLING my score! Any tips help!

Side Note: I've already read the LSAT trainer section on reading and I'm still not showing any improvement. I've also done the 7sage course and read Supreme Court decisions regularly.

My initial answer choice was the correct answer (B). But I ended up going with A because the language seemed too extreme. Should we expect/allow the language to be extreme in principle questions? HELP!

How to improve mapping out logic?

What lessons are the best to review for mapping out logic? Perhaps maybe a couple rule of thumbs to always go back to would be great! I use to do very well on SA questions and now I see myself getting more than half of them wrong, I know these type of questions usually play leave on mapping out the logic.

PT 70 S1 Q23

I've looked at about 3 different courses with explanations for this question and none of them really make an sense to me... I still see answer choice (B) as an attractive answer choice... Can someone please explain why all the answers are incorrect and perhaps a better way to approach PSA questions for next time? GREATLY APPRECIATED!

I just took my first PT in months to prepare for the December LSAT. I finished the course a couple days ago and I scored a 151, and after BR 162. I did miss a significant amount of questions in each section averaging about 7 in each. I'm not sure where to go from here... Should I keep PTing until the exam or....? PLEASE HELP!

February Test Takers...

I've finally gotten slightly closer to my goal and I've been PTing in the 158-162 range, my goal being a 165 but I have yet to take any of the most recent LSATs (PT. 73-76). After reading everyone's comments about the increased difficulty I wouldn't want to bomb some of those exams and get discouraged. Anyone have any advice when I should be taking these?

Thanks!
