Logic Game anxiety during LSAT?

Hi all!

The LG game section has always been my best one during PTs and I always get max 1-2 wrong. However, during my actual recent LSAT for some reason I totally messed the section (as in I got more than half wrong!!). I think it was a combination of nerves and because the games are becoming slightly more weird/less traditional in the recent LSATS.

Did anyone else experience this struggle in their LSAT experience? At this point I feel like I almost maybe overstudied the games and whenever a rule feels new or different now I freeze and mess the whole game up. I also feel like being nervous affects my games section the most because its easy to mis diagram or something?

Please let me know if you went through something similar and/or have tips to master the LG games :)

Thanks so much!!

#help. I understand why C is correct, but doesn't (D) kind of attack the premise that they ate sea animals?

Hi! I'm really confused by the video explanation of this. I feel like answer choice E is attacking the premise that the workers would be dismissed? Does someone understand?

Thanks so much!!

Had answer choice (B) said "chromosone 6" instead of "chromosomal" would it have been correct? I get that the conclusion is that there is no causal connection but she/he seems to be concluding that because he is making the assumption that chromosone 6 is the sole cause?

Am i totally off? #help

RC is wild

Does anyone else ever feel like the RC is sometimes total wild card? Sometimes it's a breeze and I get -2, but sometimes the passages just don't click for me and I end up getting -8.

Has anyone else experienced this? What are your tips for narrowing down this wide variation of error rate?

Thank you and happy Monday :)

I wouldn't cancel and if you aren't happy with your score from September just retake it. I'm kind of in a similar boat like you. I've taken it a few times and a few cancellations early on in my testing life. I know a couple people who have also taken it 4-5 times. I feel like since the LSAC changed it so you can take it as many times as you want its becoming less weird to have a multiple takes on applications and it doesn't matter as much. I feel like at this point they just look at your highest score since that's all they need to report for their rankings. Just try your best to get the score you deserve and apply then :)

Skipping strategy for RC

Hi!

Do any of you guys using a skipping strategy for RC or have you found that skipping questions and then coming back to them is too time consuming because it means you need to revisit the passage? Sometimes I feel like its good to get a break from a question and come back to it with a fresh mind but at the same time I also waste some time rereading stuff?

What are you overall RC strategies that you have found to be helpful?

Hi JY and 7sage community,

I have a question about this question. I picked A because I recall in other lessons you mention strengthen answer choices that support the argument in terms of the premise/conclusion support and "trap answer" choices that just support the conclusion without really addressing the argument structure. I agree that B does a better job of supporting the conclusion, but I don't think it strengthens the premise/conclusion and it just strengthens the conclusion with its own separate premise.... that's why I thought it was a trap answer. Can you (or someone who understands this) elaborate more on this?

Thank you so much!!!

#help - I have a general NA question. I recall reading or hearing somewhere that answer choices with "most" for necessary assumption questions are kind of weak because if you negate it, it could technically just change from 51% to 49%. Is that true, has anyone else heard that? Thank you!!!

Thank you so much! Number 2 sounds like it could be my issue for me. On my actual test I spent 10 + minutes checking my work on stuff on this one game trying to find an error when in reality I just wasn't "seeing" something as you mentioned and misinterpreted one of the rules. I think it would have helped me if I had just moved back to another game and come back to it with fresh eyes.

Thanks again!!

For (C), if toddlers mistakenly believe that it's normal behavior to me that shows that they aren't being malicious because they thinks its normal and accepted. (C) to me does a way better job of addressing the issue that they don't have malicious intent. For (A), so what if it solves their problem.... plenty of humans solve problems while being malicious as a way to do it.

Am I missing something? I know I got this question wrong but the explanation still seems weird to me...
