Anyone else feel that this question seems a little more intuitive without all the logic/translation?

The author is basically saying, some people are wrong in believing that the only thing you need for AI is a computer program on the human genome because you also need the interactions of proteins.

Could you please #help me understand how C) circular reasoning and D) cause/effect confusion are different?

I see you posted these replies 9 months ago, so I'm not sure if you're still using 7Sage, but I've found these "flaw" question type breakdowns extremely helpful -- thank you!

Would you mind explaining how C) circular reasoning and D) cause/effect confusion are different?

Can someone please #help me?

For B), "it accepts a view as authoritative without establishing the authority of the source of the view," how does J.Y. automatically know that "the view" this extremely vague AC is referring to is premise 1, the view of "a popular book"?

In my mind, I feel like this is open to interpretation. Can't this AC be referring to the view of the author, him/herself, which he/she accepts as "authoritatively" correct? I feel like this could be true because he/she didn't really give much of a reason for accepting his/her claim, other than that other people's claim is wrong.

I really like how you predicted/categorized the main point, tone, and structure of the passage, yourself, presumably before heading into the questions. I'm going to start using this. Thanks!

I'm still confused between A) and D), although your explanation has helped a little. I agree that answer choice A) is simply discussing the act of mining as not possible, but what about when the Engineer says, "Even if it were possible to mine the Moon for helium-3..."? Isn't he implying that it's not possible/feasible?

Why does J.Y. even consider AC B) and C)? Is "beautiful" the same as "aesthetic value"? I suppose so, right?

@lexxx74569 ...wait, what? The Flex is not allowing scratch paper? How does one even go about taking notes or doing games?

In other words, if something is "insufficient reason for eliminating funding," doesn't that mean that it's reason to continue funding?

Why am I having such a difficult time understanding D)?

J.Y. says that the statement, "participating in organized competitive athletics may increase a child's strength and coordination," is "NOT EVEN APPROACHING REASON FOR ELIMINATING FUNDING." Isn't that what D) literally says? It's an insufficient reason for eliminating funding.
