Hey 7sage! Consistent in the mid 170s and trying to cement my mastery- I've found that tutoring others helps. I’ve tutored people scoring the 150s and 160s. if you would like some tutoring (or just working together, doesn’t have to be “tutoring”) to work through tough LR q's and tough RC passages, or LG, i'd be love to work together! Looking to pair up with 2-3 people, please message me your current PT average and what sections you’d like to work on if interested : )
#help What confused me about answer choice C is how it said “ at some point “. Isn’t this too broad? Doesn’t it mean that these societies could have had plentiful resources at any point, even after the discovery of agriculture? Could someone please #help explain this to me?
Hi! I was on the discord but my account had an error. Can someone please share the new link?
Yes! Would love to! Sorry just saw this

hi! i've been scoring consistently in the low-mid 170s for the last 2 months. i'm trying to build my mastery even more, and I've found that tutoring other people helps with this. if you would like some tutoring to work through tough LR q's and tough RC passages, or LG, i'd be more than happy to do so for free :) i have time these next few weeks to do so, so HMU!
For anyone else who was super trapped by AC C (like I was), here is my explanation:
P: Studies show that in short term psychotherapy, clients experienced similar improvement across all types of psychotherapy
C: Any client improvement in short term psychotherapy is the result of some aspect common to all psychotherapy.
AC C: psychotherapy and regular counseling have similar levels of improvement. If you think this weakens the argument, the automatic assumption we are making is that the aspect common to all psychotherapies that the argument is claiming exists and is responsible for any improvement is EXCLUSIVE to psychotherapy only. It can’t exist in counseling. There is some factor, X, common to psychotherapy only. Just because it exists in psychotherapy does not mean it exists ONLY in psychotherapy. If we understand that the claim in the conclusion is not limited to psychotherapies only, then this AC doesn’t do anything. It’s very possible there is some aspect common to all psychotherapies (and other counseling) that is responsible for this improvement. A second, more minor issue, is that the answer choice does not specify and address the short term. Maybe this is referring to the long term, also rendering it irrelevant to the conclusion
Hope this helps someone
Hi!! If you ever did type up some details on your studying, i would love to hear. Im currently in the high 160s. Please inbox me if possible :)
@ Hey! If possible, could you please send it to me as well? thank you :)
same boat! scoring in the 170s currently and taking october. would love to discuss questions. maybe we should start a groupchat? discussing is so helpful
I had LR LG LG RC. LR was medium difficulty, not easy not too hard, but challenging at times. the first LG was fine, standard games, one about formal/informal restaurants and one about journalists. the second LG had a misc game about fertilizer colors and a grouping game about duets, trios and solos. RC was also standard, maybe on the easier side.
did anyone with 1 LG section have the misc fertilizer red green & white game? trying to see whether this section was experimental or not
I’m in!!
Interested! Can someone post the link discord link?
congratulations @ !!! If you have some time to post, would love to hear & would really appreciate your RC strategy, I've been struggling with that recently
hey, this one was tough for me to, but here is my explanation:
use a process of elimination
the question stem is asking what are the author's MOST LIKELY to disagree about, so this is an inference question rather than "according to the passage" - so it will require us to close some gaps and infer on our own
the reason social capital is correct is:
we know that the author of passage A agrees that subsidies help build social capital. we can infer that the author of passage B disagrees because social capital is something that binds/ties/bonds or brings society together. passage B talks all about how government subsidized art will NOT be of popular appeal and it will only reflect the tastes of a small minority of the population. one of the author's main points is that the subsidies will NOT result in widespread enjoyment, hence most people won't be interested. because of this, we can infer that the author does not think that subsidies will build social capital.
the other tricky AC for me was AC D, but this can be eliminated because:
passage A doesn't say anything about the quality of art under private funding. ALL it says is that private support is not as equitable. passage B, on the other hand, remains pretty ambiguous about the QUALITY of art under private funding. passage B concedes to the point to make a larger point. so we aren't sure whether they agree/disagree about this one.
hope this helps!
Hey all, any tips for how to lessen the gap between your actual score and your blind review score? My blind review scores and actual acorns are about 15 points apart. I’m in the low 160s but high. 170 s for BR. Trying to work on timing and efficiency

regarding Q 20 - i was hung up on the fact that just because i'm being told about airtime allotted how can I assume this correlates with access to imported programs? (i was thinking along the lines of: what if they have access but choose not to air? etc etc) but I just realized that a better way to understand this AC is:
the airtime allotted IS telling us the access that people in those nations have to imported TV programming, and it is fair to assume "differ among nations" = differ among people in the nations rather than their governments or TV industries. hope this helps
Hey could someone please post the link ?
