Yea, that definitely makes sense. Time could also be saved avoiding page flipping and bubbling in answers. In regards to RC, I've also found that I'm wasting less time underlining and annotating mindlessly and I am focusing more on absorbing the passage, because of the digital format. > @ said:

Yes, my speed has also increased on digital. I believe the reason on LR is seeing 1 question helps your eyes not to wander. Keeping your eyes from not moving is a a speed reading technique so I am going with that. I don’t know about you but for reading comp, digital has forced me not to annotate because annotating on digital on annoying (to me) so that increased my speed.

Digital LSAT Speed Increase

Has anyone else found that after they became accustomed to using the digital LSAT taker that their speed has increased by a noticeable amount? I'm curious if there is something about the digital tester that is helping me, or you, move along quicker on questions (especially LR). I can say initially that POE on the digital test is something I really like - specifically how easy it is to get wrong answers grayed out and out of the way.

The Road Ahead?

Hi all,

For starters, I'm 21 years old and I will be graduating from college this winter. Over the past year, while going to school full time and working in the time not spent going to school, I attempted to prepare for the LSAT. I used Kaplan from around January '18 to June, and singed up with 7Sage in October. I took the LSAT 3 times; June, September, and November, and scored consecutively a 151,152, and 153. I don't know what I was expecting to happen as I was PTing in the mid-150's while hoping for a score in the 160's. Ultimately, my goal was always to score in the high 160's, putting me in a competitive position for Fordham & Cornell (I live in NY and will only go to NY schools).

After talking to many other students and reading tons of post on this forum, I'm starting to realize that delaying a cycle is not so bad at all, and is actually somewhat of a normal occurrence for many. In a couple weeks I will be finished with school, and can finally dedicate the kind of time to the LSAT that so many who have conquered the test have recommended. I plan on doing some extensive global traveling in February, but besides that I can devote a significant more amount of time to studying than I ever could have while going to school full time and working 21-28 hrs a week. So, it seems that I will allow myself the time between now and June to prepare for the June LSAT (and then again in July). I am about a quarter of the way through the CC, but because I have studied with Kaplan and self-studied after that, I am kind of out of order with my studying methods.

I'm wondering if anyone who has been in a similar position has any advice to offer as to a kind of daily/weekly schedule that would allow for the most improvement in the next 6 or so months. I have never been a full time studier before so the thought of devoting my self to one test, almost full time, is rather foreign to me. I know this answer can get very detailed and is specific based on the individual, but I was wondering what are the kinds of things that someone studying full-time would do to get a 165+ LSAT score, in addition to the 7Sage CC.

Thank you so much for any advice!

So for question 4, the support for the correct AC is more than 10 lines down from the phrase they mentioned... WOW. Never would've read that far to find that support, I guess thats why I got it wrong Lol.

PT Review - Watch all explanations?

Do you all find yourselves watching JY's explanations for every question on PT's or just questions you circled and/or got wrong? I've always watched every explanation for every question as I thought maybe it would also reinforce good habits/thoughts for questions I got correct. Not sure if this is the most efficient use of time but I don't see what harm it could do. Wondering how all of you review PTs after BR, how you go about reviewing wronged/right answers, addressing patterns in Analytics; what works best for you? Thanks!

I don't know, I really find doing the double passages the way JY does them very time consuming when trying to do it under timed conditions.

The solution is almost certainly in technique. Once you're scoring in the high 160s, chances are you can BR in the mid 170s which means your comprehension is usually not the problem. For me, recording myself really showed me my biggest issues. I tend to only fully skip one or two questions in each LR section but skipping more aggressively now allows me to finish a section in about 26 minutes and gives me enough time to go over the questions I was uncertain about as well as the ones I skipped. Watch JY complete a section and then compare yourself to him. I found JY skipped some questions I considered pretty straightforward, while I sometimes struggled with questions he got in 40 seconds. This is a pretty good way to figure out where your strengths and weaknesses lie.

Where can I find video of JY completing a section?

Applications

If I take the January LSAT can I still apply for law school this cycle? Generally, when is the latest LSAT that one can take and still apply this cycle? Thanks!

PT10.S4.Q19 - Many people change their wills

I know this question is pretty old but I am trying to improve on Flaw questions. Could anyone explain why ACA is the correct answer? It seems that the argument is addressing both the dating of wills and the superseding of previous wills thus addressing the entire problem previously discussed. Is the problem, however, that the argument treats this smaller solution to a minor problem of a much bigger problem, as a solution to that much bigger problem? I choose ACB so this question definitely tripped me up. Thanks!

I Need Help

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post on the 7Sage Discussion forum. Just today I signed up for the 7Sage course. I'm posting just to ask for some advice from you all, as many of you seem to have this whole process figured it, while I still feel like an outsider.

I have been studying for the LSAT since last December. At that time, I was only using various LSAT prep books that I had purchased from bookstores and from Amazon. After a couple months of this I came across the heavily populated field of LSAT prep programs. I chose Kaplan Prep because it was a name I was familiar with and thus trusted. I was and still am a full time student working 21hr weeks, so the self-paced online course was really and still is the only option for me. Unfortunately, the Kaplan course just did not click with me at all, I found myself mindlessly watching hours of their videos and never actually doing the LSAT. On test day (June 2018) I still felt like a stranger to the test, unsure of how I was even going to tackle it. I recieved a 151.

I was disheartened by this score but still determined to improve. I knew I could no longer show up on test day feeling unfamiliar with the actual test. I signed up for the September LSAT, but this time around I completely self-studied, apart from watching 7Sage LG explanations on Youtube (LOVED these). So, from July till September all I used to study was the actual test. However, I rarely ever took full-length/proctored PT. Perhaps I felt that I couldn't find the time, or I was just scared of how poorly I was going to do, but I almost only did timed sections in batches of either 1,2, at most 3, at a time. I think I realized that this was not enough to get me to where I wanted to be in terms of my score, but I still felt better knowing that I was doing a lot of these timed sections, getting familiar with the test, better at completing sections on time, identifying questions types and patterns, etc. I felt like my score was going to significantly improve, I got a 152.

Fast forward to today and I am officially a 7Sage student and am extremely happy that I am, but after seeing other's success in this forum this September, I am kicking myself for not enrolling back in July. I'm also registered for the November LSAT. That leaves me with about a month and a half to dive into 7Sage. I am certainly no stranger to the LSAT and have been studying for this test, although using different startegies, for almost a year. My goal since freshman year of college was to get a 170 on the LSAT but it seems that goal is evading me much easier than I ever would've imagined. However, if I could boost my score by 10 points by November I feel I'd have a decent chance at some T25's (3.67 GPA). I have also come to have a different perspective on taking another year to study for the test after reading other similar post on this forum, and wonder if I should give myself another cycle to get closer to that glorious 170 everyone wants. I am still only 21, but the idea of spending an enitire year out of school, working, and studying for one test still seems foreign to me, and my parents...

I apolgize for such a long post, and thank you if you read this far, I just have not gotten the oppurtunity to really talk to anyone about this entire process. I think I am heading in the right direction by signing up for 7Sage and posting here, but besides that I am running out of answers. Thank you for any and all helpful responses/thoughts/comments!!!
