Has anyone else had an issue with their LG sorting function? I have been 'pinning' the substitution equivalent questions and also making notes on them as I've been going through and now I want to drill them - but when I go to the LG problem set page, hit "all PT's" and sort by 'pinned' - nothing comes up. Same for the "has note" button. I have refreshed, restarted, new window, logged in and out. Same result. #help.

There are multiple podcasts with Admissions people offered on this site and others (and also a few admissions events were put on in the fall) where the admissions people said to apply without your score and admissions will see that you have an upcoming LSAT and not make a decision on your file yet - but it helps them get an idea of the overall candidate pool and hold off on offering spots etc if there are a lot of applicants.
For the logic between B and C/A/D/E (these all have 'people' in the sufficient condition), I don't get why, for example:
In C: "some of the people polled lived outside the city limits" is:
People polledLO
But in B he writes: "Some people who signed the petition were among the mayors supporters" as:
MSPeople who signed
In B why are the people in the necessary position? Shouldn't it be:
People who signed MS?
I know D isn't what they are looking for in this argument (world peace vs. regional peace etc), but when you negate D - it produces the exact situation that happened during the Rwandan genocide between Belgium, France and the US - and would actually also ruin the argument. It's sometimes hard not to think of history/bias in these questions and only stick to the 'cut and dry form' of what they want!
@ now we need to know what happened!!! lol Did you retake?
WOWOWOWOOWOWOW! @ these are incredible. Thank you for sharing your gifts! So many people, including myself, don't have these type of visual gifts to organize info this way - so having you share this is very impactful. Thanks again!
My Tutor told me today that he gained a lot in the last 3 weeks of study and he got a 176 and he said that he really really focussed hard the last 3 weeks and made a huge gain. You can do it!! I'm writing Jan too, we got this!

Is B wrong because it relies on the assumption that the clearcut trees were replaced all at the same time, and that might not be the case? I assumed they were replanted within a close time frame, and thus relatively close in height.
A - to me reads that if a mature tree could be 100 years old, the age of the trees don't differ by more than 100 years. Is it making the assumption that if that is the case then the age difference would cause the younger ones to die.
Just trying to pin point the right assumption here. Sometimes these feel like a moving target some of these higher scored questions.
In Q6: I love how the LSAT wants us to use language SO specifically and then uses "personality" and "character" interchangeably....really? lol

First of all - @ I've printed this story out and it's now taped to my desk at work. Strong ladies: may be know them, may we be them, may we raise them! Amen.
Secondly @ this woman had at least 4 years (while she was studying) to understand what 'being a lawyer' entails. During that time do you think that she didn't do her homework on that? You question her dedication to being a lawyer by suggesting "if you truly want to be a lawyer" then you suggest she should know some things about being a lawyer and you give her a generic video of some guy explaining the (well known) hardships of practicing law? Then you suggest that she should re-consider being a lawyer? NO.
She wakes up before any actual lawyer I know to be able to work on this exam and also still practice her family values and goes to work (AND SLAYS....SHE JUST SLAYS THE WHOLE DAMN DAY. That promotion. The meditation. The consistent exercise. The family time. SLAYS).
All I see when I see this woman's story is the grit (physical, emotional, all the grit) needed to be a lawyer or anything else she puts her mind to. All the power to her.
Hard NO! Not time well spent. My tutor said take 48 hours off before the test, and do a simple warm up in each section the morning of. If you are going to study today then just focus on your processes for each question type. Also, relax. Relaxed you is going to do 1000% better on this test than stressed you.
Can someone explain to me what the quantifiable difference is between a generalization or not a generalization in the stimulus as per the LSAT way of defining it? I've looked through the other answers to try to cross reference something that might be consistent and I can't find a pattern. Sometimes it's a broad group within a subset of people, sometimes it's a group within the world, sometimes it's a species in an ecosystem but how large or small a quantification does the "generalization" have to be to qualify under that common flaw? #help #help thanks
Hi There,
Thank you for this response. So it's just the pinned q's in PT's that I can sort then, and not the problem sets. Got it, thanks.
When I get anxiety one of the only things that helps is exercise. Lot's of sleep! Good luck! You got this!

37 - I've had careers as a commercial pilot and as a CEO of a company before now. I stopped working in April to study full time for this test. Hoping for law school 2022. Which means I'll graduate when I'm 42. My reading comp is Slllllllloooooowwwww and my grammar understanding is unrefined/terrible (I didn't 'really' need either of those skills in my last two careers (honestly) so I'm unpracticed) ... YOU CAN DO IT! It's never "too late". Also - to take the pressure off the kids stuff (cause we have to actually think about factoring that in if we want them) I froze my eggs so I'm not stressed about it anymore. Just something to think about if that's coming up for you!
I believe in you!
Shuyu888 has only been a 7Sage member for 19 hours. That's....interesting...
176 is not underperforming - that's ridiculous.
@ Could you also share with me? Thank you so much!
That is a crazy amazing score, congrats for all your hard work. You must have studied so hard to get that score - it's a job really really well done. Be proud of yourself! Also, I agree with @ comments entirely. In addition, any top law school acceptance - you can pretty much get whatever loan you need.
Also, on a personal note, and I'm sorry if this is an overstep - but as someone who graduated at the very top of my class in my business undergrad and also my econ masters at LSE etc etc... I can tell you that the family pressure never stops until you make it stop. It might be worth gradually starting to create some boundaries for yourself with your family so that your relationship isn't transactional and is more relational. I know parents sacrifice a lot for their kids, and expect a lot in return, but it's absolutely ridiculous that any parent is disappointed in a 176. Enough of that nonsense! You are doing such a good job in life and you deserve to be acknowledged for that, and be confident in that!
