I mean Kumar is cited as not being late while Elias is cited as being late. I reviewed the other comments regarding sufficient and necessary conditions but I'm still not getting a good grasp without inferences as to why both are not considered late. Please advise. Thanks
I'm still trying to get a grip on this. At one point we're told not to use any outside information. In the Kumar ex. I see others making inferences to explain why Kumar in not considered late. How are we suppose to know to make an inference or assumption before we're told the Kumar isn't considered late.
I still question Kumar's lateness as no when we are to stick to the information provided only. There's nothing indicating in the necessary condition that Kumar's 17 minutes late should meet the 5+ minutes late as a citation especially if its a necessary condition. JY can you give some input on the difference without any outside assumptions as to why Kumar is cited late and Elias not being cited as late when he met the 5+ necessary condition
That's interesting because Kumar is 17 minutes late and Elias is 5+ minutes late both are a part of the necessary condition but only Elias is considered as cited late. How could this be? It seems as both should be considered late unless the grammar is playing a role on specifics 17 minutes v 5+
#help if I don't choose the same lawgic symbols for the sentence content but my contrapositive is the same but reversed does this make it on or off target. Also I having trouble verbalizing the logic

#help#feedback 4.5 why is the clause referred to as the "which clause" is it because its the clause the first which is referring to? I'm having lots of trouble with referential.
