I love this ; can't wait to try it out for myself. Thanks so Much!
Note to self, make sure to dodge those "Classic Mumbo Jumbo answers that don't really say anything".
As we get closer to Thanksgiving I'm thinking about the things I am thankful for and 7Sage is on that list :)
Not that I've achieved my dreamscore yet, but work FT and study PT about 15-20 hours week. Actually look forward to the study time in the morning before work, trying for 2 hours prior to starting at 8pm. Some morning I only get 1/2 hour or an hour. Weekends are much better. 2 hours in morning Sat/Sun and then other activities around house, 2 hours in evening. It's not a bad routine, just have to be precious with your time. Everyone has the same 24 hours per day, it's just how you use it.
That sounds like a terrible experience... sorry to hear that. My feeling is that they should honor your retake request.
It really helps to clear your plate of other projects/obligations if you are going to try to do this. I work full time 40-45 hrs/week but have a lot of home obligations. I am still putting off my wife's timing belt which was a high priority at 100k miles and now she's as 112k mi and I still haven't done it yet. I did a tile project on the bathroom for her birthday which pretty much cost me 1.5 weeks. Some things you can let go , some you can't but it frees up your mind substantially if you can clear a way. Now I have taxes to do which is another distraction. I need to bang those out on Sat so I can clear the slate again. Everyone is different but I cannot focus very well when I have other high priorities pending other than work which is a given.
Can you ID your top 3 weaknesses? If you have then I would want to start focusing on those 3 aspects for the next month.
It's not the same , but prior to passing the Patent Bar exam, I studied very lightly. I reviewing some key questions that I had missed in order to feel confident that I would not miss those concepts again. I feel like it's more important to have some sort of routine that puts you into a good performance state. Studying daily was part of that routine for me so I kept up the routine pre-test day. For the LSAT I might shuffle through flashcards emphasizing key concepts but it will be a light study session and will not involve any practice tests. The best advice I got was not to do anything that was going to induce anxiety and to get a good nights rest.
Thanks for sharing with us. This is a huge accomplishment and it is to be admired. Way to go!
Yes, Sadly I did this 2 days ago. Disheartening to say the least. In/Out games are proving to be my Achilles heal. I will try J.Y's foolproof method, but it's much slower going than I would like it to be just getting through the 7sage core curriculum. I haven't even scratched the surface on PTs yet.
Only if you have a really, really good idea of your weaknesses and are willing to drill on them for enough time to improve on those items. Personally I'd consider the minimum time between retakes 2mos. That might require some out of the box ideas for getting better at those specifics. If you have the time, fortitude, and desire and something to gain then why not? Good news is you will be narrowing the focus over the short term to your weak areas and spending less time on what you have usually done. It should not take more time that you have spent to now, only a shifting of focus. Great job getting to where you are! You should give yourself a pat on the back :)
I do not see any reason you cannot do this if it becomes a driving focus in your life.
Most folks have comittments, families, and jobs so I'm not sure how this figures into your plan but everyone has the same 24hours per day. Just remember that :)
Don't be so hard on yourself. Why not relax a bit and embrace your alternate schools (maybe expand the list to less costly ones as well) and look forward to going to law school in another place? Perhaps there are a lot of pluses to going someplace other than your 1st choice school that you can't see right now?
I don't worry about it and let the chips fall where they may :)
