I also messed up Q3 at first. Here's my thinking (similar to dlpaltiel770 above and others throughout this chain) and what I learned from some digging:
There is a difference between "only" (the necessary condition indicator 7Sage lists in group 2) and "the only" (the indicator used in Q3).
Here's a trick that's worked for me in the examples I have worked with. When you encounter "The only," convert the sentence to "Only." Take Q3 as an example:
"The only oral myths that have survived are the ones that were eventually written down" converts to "Only oral myths that were eventually written down are oral myths that survived."
From there, we can apply our group 2 (necessary condition) "only" analysis, per usual:
1. Conditional indicator: "Only"
2. The 2 main concepts are "oral myths that were eventually written down" and "oral myths that survived."
3. I'll call those OMEWD and OMS, respectively.
4. Because OMEWD immediately follows "only," we conclude that OMOWD is the necessary condition (and thus goes on the right side of the arrow). So the relationship is: OMS --> OMEWD, and the contrapositive is /OMEWD --> /OMS.
In short, rewrite sentences with "The only" to make them into sentences that use "only" if you want to apply group 2 analysis.
Does 7Sage recommend that we transfer our accounts to the new 7Sage website? Also, do the prep tests marked as "current version" on the old 7Sage site (this one) correspond to the digital test to the same extent that those on the new site do? Thanks!
