Here's a great post at powerscore.com that explains how September's LSAT was more difficult than June's for high scorers, but far easier than June's for average to below average scorers.

I was wondering if this test was much harder ... it seemed like to whip a lot of people's butt's this time around. Can someone explain the curve situation overall?
@tringo335 This blog post is a very good explanation; take a look. It shows how describing the difficulty of a particular administration of the LSAT based solely on the 170 curve is misleading. Just a small example. There are many questions below a certain level of difficulty that a 170 scorer finds easy. But let's say that a test has, within that category, questions that are relatively difficult. That won't affect the 170 scorers at all, but will affect lower scorers.
