Law School Scholarship question

Situation.....

A certain law school has three levels of merit scholarships based on GPA/LSAT

Level 3- 5000, Level 2-8000, Level 1-12000

If you get accepted at a level 3 because of a low lsat and submit a seat deposit, would most law schools bind you to that amount? or could you retake the lsat and with a higher score and get a higher level scholarship, even though you have paid a seat deposit?

Thoughts?

You wouldn't be locked in since you could still withdraw and forfeit the seat deposit, but you would have less leverage than waiting until the next cycle. If you waited a cycle you would be able to negotiate based on acceptances which you would secure rather than just the prospect you might withdraw and wait a cycle or switch to somewhere else where you got in off a waitlist. So you have to assess whether the increase they offer is fair. Search law school numbers if this happens. It is the best tool for that.
