Getting confused with "furthermore".

I can't recall if further more was one of our indicator words. I am getting confused, does furthermore introduced the main conclusion and follow the main premise?

Hmm I'd think of furthermore as an indicator of another premise.

I like dogs because they are friendly. Furthermore, they make really good pets. Therefore, you should get a dog as a pet.

I agree with @LSATcantwin that "furthermore" usually signifies another premise. There is also another, much rarer possibility, where it can signify a second conclusion. In this way "furthermore" may lead from an intermediate conclusion to the final one.
