Because I’d heard so much about these, I went just to see. Honesty, there wasn’t anything that anyone with common sense and a reasonable familiarity with the test shouldn’t know. I mean, one of their tips was literally just that the 3 or 4 most recent tests are the best predictors of what the next test is likely to feel like. They also said we are in an era where RC has gotten particularly hard, LG has trended fairly standard, and LR has been far less concerned with routine, structural logic. So if you don’t know, now you know.

    @"Cant Get Right"

Just a few follow up questions RE:"RC has gotten particularly hard, LG has trended fairly standard, and LR has been far less concerned with routine, structural logic".

Does this mean that we are probably not going to be surprised by a particularly unusual logic game?

What does LR that's far less concerned with routine, structural logic look like?? (e.g., less conditional logic??)

Which RC passages from the prev PTs do you think are the most representative of the difficulty we can expect on the upcoming tests? Would they be PTs 80s to 92?? I have been studying with older PTs for RC... :/

I would only go so far as to say that unusual logic games have not appeared in awhile. You should not be surprised by one, but that's because you should be prepared for one despite what recent trends may (but don't necessarily) suggest could be a lesser likelihood of seeing one.

What does LR that's far less concerned with routine, structural logic look like?? (e.g., less conditional logic??)

Yeah, less conditional logic, less connecting B to C in order to get from A to D, that kind of thing. For a Flaw question with a simple "A therefore B" argument, for example, the answer is almost certainly not going to be, "Inappropriately assumes that A is sufficient for B." Such an answer would absolutely be correct, but you're a lot less likely to see it.

Which RC passages from the prev PTs do you think are the most representative of the difficulty we can expect on the upcoming tests? Would they be PTs 80s to 92?? I have been studying with older PTs for RC... :/

Yeah, RC took a turn somewhere around PT 80 or so. The older PT's are still great practice and great for developing all your foundational skills. More recent tests seem to have ramped up the difficulty, but nothing has fundamentally changed.

So they think the PT90s are a better predictor than the PT80s?

@"ishak.adriana" As a general rule of thumb, the most recent PTs are the best predictors for the type of questions you're most likely to see on test day. So, if you're testing in August, I'd get one of the new PTs in this week. With that said, at the end of the day don't over analyze and psych yourself out. You've put in the work, be confident in your ability and kick some ass. Best of luck.
