Arguments

Martin01Martin01 Member
I understand that it is very important to determine if the stimulus is an argument (premise + conclusion) or simply information. I am having difficulty at this because some of the conclusions are hidden. Can someone please help me to better understand how to determine if an argument is contained within the stimulus? Thank you!

Are you using 7Sage or anything else? There are several helpful sections in the curriculum starting with the arguments section. If the stimulus is just a series of facts that are not trying to persuade you of anything then that is usually the biggest clue. The Trainer also has a great breakdown of approaches to each question type that dovetails nicely with the 7Sage explanations.

Going through the curriculum should help you in addressing all these issues. If you get through the first half of the curriculum and still have issues then let us know.
